QUEEN
Excerpts from their new album "The Works"
(1983 Promo 7" Flexi)
1. Radio Ga Ga (1:16)
2. Hard Life (1:10)
3. I Want To Break Free (0:57)
4. Hammer To Fall (1:24)
Vinyl LP > ION iTTUSB USB Turntable (w/ internal pre-amp) > Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit soundcard > Goldwave (PCM format recording @ 96/24 & track-splitting) > WAV > foobar2000 w/ flac.exe (tagging included) > FLAC Level 8
Please note that the sound dropouts at the end of "Hard Life" and throughout "I Want To Break Free" were caused by an irreparable dent on the disc itself effecting those tracks. This was the way the disc was when I bought it! Flexi discs, due to their thinness by nature, are very sensitive and fragile to handle. link
Enjoy!! :-)

Any other 12" "semi-official" mixes ? =======
The rest I have are the Wyclef Jean and Miami Project remixes, plus some fan-made ones. You can find the fan mixes in this folder: link
Enjoy

Sorry, should have been more specific. I meant the original post for excerpts from their new album "The Works"

They shouldn't be. However, they ARE in 96kHz/24-bit format. Is your hardware/software capable of playing back high-definition audio? Alternatively, I can make a downconverted CD-quality FLAC set...

Do you want me to upload it? ===============
If you have a copy that's in stereo (mine is mono for some reason), and potentially in FLAC, go for it :-)
Thank you very much! Very interesting promo-edit. Also thanks for good 'Another One Bites the Dust' remixes. And if you upload AOBTD mixes, can you give some other 12'' "semi-official" promo mixes by Rick Rubin: WWRY — "Effects A Capella", "Clap A Capella" and "Effects Instrumental"? Thanks.
I have lossless versions of those AOBTD mixes, if anyone is intersted. Plus I have:
Flower Power Remix
Dakeyne Remix
Queen Bee Remix
Les Massengale Remix
All lossless, but aren't these official?
pittrek wrote: Well I definitely WOULD be interested in having them lossless, but I'm also not sure if they are considered official products or not

I'm also definitely interested. I personally lean towards believing that mixes and versions that have ONLY ever been available on promotional (not for sale) releases should be exempt from the Official Material rule.
In any case Jam Monkey, I'll e-mail you momentarily :-)

IIRC correctly, none of these are actually official remixes, but unofficial/bootleg mixes. I COULD be wrong about the Dakeyne remix, I'm not 100% sure on that one, but the other 3 are almost definitely unofficial.
The Flower Power Remix and Queen Bee Remix are from bootleg 12", so I think they would be ok to share. The Dakeyne Remix and Les Massengale Remix are from DJ records (August 86 Mixes and Ultimix 12 respectively) so I think those would count as official, or semi official. The Long Dusted B-Boy and Dave Ogilvie are from Hollywood Record promos, so are certainly official.
