Thanks Pittrek, but it doesn't appear the QUEEN II album info.I search in other webs and I find much info of "all" coloured vinyl releases, but nothing about the existence of an orange vinyl release.
I look in QUEEN MUSEUM,IN THE LAP OF QUEEN (a lot of info and photos) and other web pages and nothing...I will looking for....
First run of this issue was back in 1992 and QUEEN album only, mainly found from german dealers in pink green and various multicolored issue. Probably all unofficial releases but still have some collectors market. The colored issues you're asking about are all recent issue (2007-2008) and are 100% not official. I don't argue about why people may be interested in that but don't spend more than 10-15 UKP for each one. The reason I've not reported them in my site is because there are still too many official releases worlwide to report and also so much to discover yet, and all this is much more exciting.
Yes Ferdy, thanks for the information. Until today I thought they are official releases. I saw some of these items on record fairs and they looked very genuine. It's good to know that I didn't spent my money for these records althought some of them were looking very nice (and reach high prices from time to time on ebay).
Ah, the coloured vinyls from Globus. It's enough to give you a headache.
I've been researching these for a few years now as the range of colours put me right off them and I figured them all for bootlegs, but it seems at least some were approved. Maybe liberties were taken later on, but the arguement comes down to how you feel about pressings made from official stamps in official factories that weren't strictly authorised. (Example: purple vinyl Scary Monsters by David Bowie.)
Here's what I've found.
There was an initial run of either 30 or 50 multicoloured Queen 1 pressings on the Globus label in 1992, apparently a test run with a view to re-releasing the back catalogue after the tragic death of Freddie Mercury. These rare pressings are basically blue with a black, white and pink radial pattern and look different on the front and back (more pink in the centre on the front). Some sites may lead you to believe there are two different multicoloured ones but usually they are just comparing the front and back of the same record.
I've seen these disks sell for over £700 UKP.
The pink and dark green pressings are the most official releases from 1992 that followed that test run. 500 pink ones (they can sell for around £200-300 UKP) and 2000 green ones (£80-100 UKP) were pressed.
Then there was a multicoloured yellow one with a red and green blotchy pattern, and a multicoloured blue one with a more subtle blotchy pattern. 500 of each pressed in 1994, and they can sell for around £100-150 UKP.
The purple one you have was released later in 1998 I believe (but some sources say 1996). By now the licence to press these may have been debatable, but nevertheless 500 pressed, the matrix number and markings seem identical to all the earlier ones listed, and as you said it's a very nice item. Probably intended to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album! These usually sell at around £50 UKP.
The purple one is the last one I'd suggest anybody pays any attention to.
After that, there seemed to be a tidal wave of different colours - red, yellow, grey, white, clear, light green, light blue, and probably more. Some of the colours are frankly horrid!
No word on how many have been pressed of these or who is even doing them, but they seemed to start appearing around 2004-2005 and from what I can make out they were still being churned out up to fairly recently so other colours may exist too.
I'd treat these with extreme caution and wouldn't recommend paying more than £20 for any of them. If you find one and like the colour and it's cheap, then by all means go for it.
As for Queen II coloured pressings - there have been a whole range of colours cropping up on line and at record fairs for a good few years. Red ones and white ones seem commonest, but I've seen the odd grey, yellow, orange, blue and clear. No multicoloured ones though. I can find no evidence that these were ever authorised and since they only started appearing quite recently (at the same time as the vast range of Queen I pressings that came out after the purple one) I figure them to be from the same source. I personally don't bother with any of them, but again if you can find one cheap and you like the colour, by all means add it to your collection.
Don't let anyone try to convince you that these later pressings are rare or worth anything serious though!
There are plenty of photos online for the early ones (up to purple) but I can upload some if people are interested.

Thanks a lot for the info!
So I have a somewhat-original limited edition album valued at around 50 GBP. Not bad. I don't think I paid more than 20 USD for it in the summer of 2002.
I can't help but feel a bit let down though, considering other colors of the same release are worth over 10 times more.
Next, someone will tell me my French Mr. Bad Guy CD is also fake... no wait, that already happened :(.
