I make lists of various Queen-releases from around the world. To make those lists complete is an utopia, I know! One of my lists is an overview of cataloguenumbers. I have a question about The Cosmos Rocks cd.
For the US cd-release of The Cosmos Rocks I have found the cataloguenumber D000261502. I have also found the number D000261512.
Who can help me and tell me which is the correct number? Or do cds with both numbers exist?
As far as I know, those last two digits are saved for the format... at least the last one is. 1=LP 2=CD... at one time I believe 4=Cassette. Perhaps the it's a digital format number.
Thank you for the links. I indeed did use a google-search and that's the reason that I found out that there are two known cataloguenumbers for the cd. But that does not prove that there are two versions of the cd, unfortunately... If somebody can provide a scan of a cd with the number D000261512...
Or is one number the number for Canada and the other for the USA?
But thanks again for your help Extremely Nice Chap!
I did some further research. D000261512 was a limited edition, enhanced, USA release. Enhanced means, according to a review on amazon.com (1st link) a link to a web site with other links (i-Tunes, etc).
Thanks again. I searched the Queenzone forums because somewhere deep in my memory I recalled that somebody had posted something about the enhanced section. And I found the post! http://www.queenconcerts.com/queenzone/1146025.html
Panchgani wrote that he has bought the enhanced version and that the CD-ROM section contains an internet survey, a help section and an exit button. Panchgani says that he has the D000261502-version...But thanks again for helping me! The links were very useful.
