Let me start off with saying that there is no one like Freddie, BUT I really liked the way Paul did his thing with Brian and Roger. I was very disappointed when I heard that they would not do more together. I still hope that they will do another tour in 2010.
But I it is true that it is over, and with the new CD and DVD coming and let's be fair they like making money, it would be very unwise to tell about tyhe break up now. If it is over they will release an official statement in about 3 months time.
I hope they will not but I think it is marketing not to say anything now.

anyone else thinking that paul is doing what he did last time after a big tour with our boys haha, getin comfy in his own set up for a while, then maybe he will pull back with brian an rog, realise that what they have rocks and do something else?
I understand completely that Paul has a need to do his own stuff. in QPR, he's in the shadow of Queen. and Paul is too much of a legend (who is still at the very top of his game) to settle for being in the shadow of anyone
perhaps in 2010 or 2011 we'll see something? but of course, they're not getting any younger...

Personally I think they get together again when they need money again :)
I don't think money is their main motivation. The guys are all multi millionairs. They don't need to do a tour for money. They need to sell a dvd / record because the they have a contract with the record company.
Publicity- wise it's a very smart thing to say that they are just not touring at the moment.
But to be honest I don't think QPR will be touring again in the near future.
True Bad Company split up and reunited many times, but it took them 7 years to reunite and do a small tour again (2002-2009)
My thoughts are that Brian does not want to do anymore, where as Roger is like a caged Tiger, Brian seems to be happy with his life the odd appearance with teh WWRY cast doing bo-rap
