I still think their medley at the Tribute Concert was magnificent. At least they sang in tune and didn't forget any words. *thinks about Mr.Plant raping Innuendo*
many thanks for the link, I love them; Nuno is awesome, as the rest of the band, and their new album (yes, full of M-U-S-I-C) is fantastic; I was at their gig in Bilbao on November and, believe me, it was the best time I've had in a rock show in many, many years ... mainly because I had never the chance to see them live ... it was much better than expected. Really hope they'll continue making new albums

I'd rather be raped by Plant than spoon with Cherone...

Totally agree with Vali, their last album is not bad at all, one of the good surprises for me in 2008, along with ACDC, Metallica and Def Leppard for instance. Nuno Bettencourt is a really good guitar player, and the band is powerful, they came back with some good music. Maybe not the best-selling of the year, but some nice music. Anyway, I don't know if they are that good on stage, but on CD this is quite enjoyable, really.
I was just listening to some live recordings I have, I don"t have anything from Extreme, but this post made me want to listen to some Queen covers live, and I was just listening to Metallica playing "Stone Cold Crazy" as a final encore during a 1992 show, and Nine Inch Nails playing "Get Down, Make Love"... Stunning !!

Hope you appreciated the Extreme show Vali !
Hi Olivier ! nice to see you here :)
it has not been the best selling of the year for several reasons, I think: in Europe, the record has been dsitributed by a small italian company, with little advertising and not many copies of the album being circulated, so at least in Spain is still much easier to find their previous albums in the big record stores. I bought the new album two or three days after it was officially released and in order to find it I had to go to one of those little/specialized record shops many of us love so much.
Regarding the show, I did not only appreciate it ... I loved it, it rocked, it was full of energy and the band delivered an awesome performance in terms of musical quality; for those who love guitar playing, seeing Nuno performing is quite an experience :) - at least to me, as I love his style -
Gary's voice was fine, wich was my main fear, as he often suffers when performing live as a consequence of taking many risks and trying to reach the higher notes
They played a long setlist including many songs from the past and some of the new album, ending the show with a great performance of Led Zep's Communication Breakdown. Great !!
In their forum it's been said an official DVD/CD of this new tour will be released. Can't wait catching it !
