I've been hearing about this woman for a while, and she just makes me absolutely sick. First off, the fertility specialist should have his/her license revoked for implanting ALL of those embryos in her to begin with, even if he/she didn't know that she already had 6 kids. And if this doctor knew that she had 6...forget it. This person should never be allowed to practice infertility treatment again.
As for this woman herself...she's clearly not living in the real world. Just because she's "determined" to make a better life for herself through schooling means that she's not selfish to bring these kids into the world doesn't mean that you aren't being selfish. Allow me to inject a little reality: School is EXPENSIVE. Even if she's getting Pell Grants and what not, the last I remember hearing this woman was going for her Masters. I can testify that getting your Masters Degree is an EXPENSIVE process. Even if she's getting the school for free, she's probably taking out student loans anyway and using that money to live on, since she doesn't work. She does get disability payments from the state for injuries to her back (another reason her doctor should have his/her license revoked: Her back was injured permanently at her previous job. It borders on malpractice to allow a woman with "permanent back injuries" enough to qualify her for disability to carry 8 babies to term!) So where is the money coming from to raise these kids? The state and her mother...and the mother had washed her hands of the deal when Nadya refused to reduce the number of babies she was carrying!
So now she's in school, "determined" to get educated and provide a better life for her children...and at the same time she's holding each of them, paying attention to each of them, devoting everything to them according to her. How exactly are you managing that with 14 kids AND your school work? There's only 24 hours in a day; it simply cannot be done.
Since this interview has come out it's been revealed that nearly everything she said was a lie. She said she's not getting welfare, but she's getting food stamps for her and her six children. She may not consider it welfare, but IT IS. She also said she used the same fertility specialist for all her children, which is contradicted by her mother.
I hope that someone steps in and takes these children away from her. I hate to say that, I truly do; but this woman is clearly not capable of raising 14 children. She's not even operating in reality.
