I've never heard so much negativity about Queen from anyone other than people who claim to be 'fans.'
Is the song a ballad? Pop crap. A rocker? Uninspired crap. Happy? Tacky crap. Sad? Boring crap. Unique? Freddie's crap. Traditional? Brian's crap. Catchy? Funk crap. Experimental? Embarrassing crap. A hit? Commercial crap. Personal? Just crap. Unknown? Crap that should have stayed unreleased.
Albums from the 70s were full of fillers, those from 80s were uninspired and Q+PR are just ruining it all.
Well, if this is what fans themselves are saying, does it mean Queen are total crap? Are those who love and support Queen fans at all?
there are also a lot of positive comments. imo queen+pr made the cosmos rocks as they are addicted to music/r'n'r - what means to be a good thing.
and hey, it's just music - nothing more or less.
Its all just a matter of opinion. And everyone's opinions are different to what you or I might think.
I dont subscribe to Treasure Moments ideology that only Freddie produced the greatest songs, or Russian Headlong's equally ludicrous "John is no great loss" theory. But hey, thats their opinions and they are entitled to them.
I dont like everything that Queen did (I have yet to discover a band who can do that). But then I have yet to discover a band who's musical itinerary included so many diverse styles as they did. Were they all good? Answer - no. Were they all bad? No. So to answer your initial question, P-Staker, no Queen are not crap. Far from it.

Im not saying only freddies songs are good, i like almost ALL queen songs, what i meant was that freddies input into the others songs made those songs 10 times better than they would be without his input.

Ok thats a fair explanation TM. Its just the impression that I got from you on that other thread.

i haven't really heard any.... honestly!
I make fun of Bri and Deaky though!!! I have theories as to where Deaky ran off to in 1997.
I do get where the original poster is coming from,
but to be fair - you could make this argument for any band. All you have to do is add up a complaint about each member, each song, or each album (or all three!) and voila; it sounds like the fans hate everything about the band they supposedly love.
I would say it's a lot easier to do with Queen fans because there's so many complainers among us. But do try it, it's fun. I'll do it for Led Zeppelin.
"I love Led Zeppelin, but Robert Plant sounds thin on Kashmir, Jimmy Page is terrible live, John Paul Jones' fashions are just ridiculous, and Bonzo is an overplaying show-off".
Tadaa! I didn't have one positive thing to say then.
PS. I actually like Bonzo overplaying. :/
dude, queen can fart into microphones and sell it as their new CD, I would happily buy it, and would never say it is crap, just cause I love these guys too much, everything they do I find priceless and awesome, so fuck all of the motherfucking retards that hang here saying nasty shit
Im a true fan
