You can hear part of it here at around 54 mins in: link Most of the track is cut off for some reason. Sounds U2'ish and is very repetitive. |
pittrek 31.08.2008 14:42 |
I like it. However it doesn't sound like Queen but the melody stays in your head |
PieterMC 31.08.2008 14:49 |
Those who attended the fan listening at EMI seemed to all think that this was the worst track on the album. |
scottmax 31.08.2008 15:28 |
Hmmmm, not what i was expecting. A bit pap really. I'm hoping that more songs will sound along the lines of C-lebrity? Here's hoping..... |
Pim Derks 31.08.2008 15:52 |
Very U2-ish, but extremely catchy. If this is the worst track on the album this is going to be one hell of an album :D |
Saint Jiub 31.08.2008 16:39 |
My that was dull ... but not as annoying as U2. I sure hope it is one of the worst tracks on the album. |
Pim Derks 31.08.2008 16:42 |
It's still a hell of a lot better than 'classic' Queen tracks like Delilah, Fun It and My Baby Does Me. |

Here's link of 'Time To Shine' as mp3: link It sounds like U2 track but it's really good. I can't wait for Q+PR's album. |
dobo 31.08.2008 18:44 |
If this is the worst song then my god the album is going to be awesome, as this song is amazing |
Rien 31.08.2008 18:52 |
wow, very very catchy. Indeed if someone thinks this is the worst track... Well have to hear the complete Cosmos Rocks first though... :-) Thanks for the mp3. Webcast is very clear though. I'm now using part of this track as intro on my site. Just for a few days. Thanks! |
dobo 31.08.2008 18:53 |
link that sounds clearer in my opinion |
regmarha 31.08.2008 18:58 |
Huge thanks for the link and mp3. what a GREAT track! |

I really don't know. It does feel like it takes you somewhere, and I'm sure in the context of the album will be brilliant. But its not radio material. |

I have the same feeling I had when I first heard "I Want it All". At the time I felt Queen was becoming a sort of Bon Jovi. Now it's U2, so I'll regard this as a fair progress. :) Oh, and many thanks for the links. Keep us updated on the leaks, I mean, links. ;) Cheers, Ogre- |

Ok - this proves one thing.... They can still do it! Very catchy. Doesn't really sound like traditional Queen but it does sound good. Catchy as hell. Is it Sept 15th yet? |
Donna13 31.08.2008 23:34 |
Oooh! I like it, a lot! (I listened to the portion of the song that is on Youtube from the above link.) It is pretty and catchy and I think it's got a cool Indian/cosmos-y vibe. It just sort of builds and is mesmerizing. I feel completely enlightened now. Anyway, gosh, Paul's voice really sounds good when he gives it all that power. |

I'm loving it was shocked to see the link to be honest very catchy melodic and different like the ending of it i'm well excited now i think this album will be excellent. And paul rodgers has got a very powerful voice in my opinion that equals freddie. |
cmsdrums 01.09.2008 07:59 |
Sounds good to me. Not instantly 'hit single' but that's not what we're after. It's nice to see that (at least this track) it's not a rehash of old Queen sounds and they are sounding modern and relevant, and using some different ideas. The Classic Rock review seems to bode very well indeed, because with Freddie's absence I'm sure there are a line of people just waiting to slag them off for daring to release anything new, even before they've bothered listening to it. |
P-Staker 01.09.2008 08:06 |
It's a powerful, uplifting rock anthem that goes directly to the gut. It has everything to be the next live classic. And don't forget we've only heard a fragment... |
Borhap80 01.09.2008 08:23 |
I thought that Say it's Not True and C-lebrity was ok, but this is something else. I like this tracks. It's fresh, original and uplifting. It gives something, something positive and optimistic. This is the best thing I've heard from Queen since No One But You. Period. If this is the weakest track on the album.... I think this fall will be fantastic :) |
Borhap80 01.09.2008 08:48 |
I find it interesting, the way that people describe tracks before the album is released (I'm doing it myself). I look forward to hear the album as a whole, to listen to the songs in the "right" context. Try to imagine how it would have been if we had the oportunity in to listen in advance in 1977 or 1984 for that matter. How would you have perceived "Who Needs You" or "Man on The Prowl"? Not my favourites, but not the worse either.. |

just heard still burnin on planet rock radio, mark jeeves show.wee bit heavy and overvocals.good sounding base guitar there as well.brians guitar sticks out as usuall lol.nice solo in thew middle as you would expect.and the we will rock you bit in the middle of it?.absolutley loved it. |

Michael Allred 01.09.2008 13:21 |

Had high hopes about the album... I don't say I'm dissapointed anyway, but it's not the style I was looking for really. This one is one of the most boring tracks of it, it doesn't sound new at all. Every Queen track until now did sound as something new. The Call, Invincible, Say, they are, more or less, unique. |
AmeriQueen 04.09.2008 22:27 |
I love this song. That would be a great way to open the show. This track's promise alone gives me goosebumps about mid September. I dared hope for something that worked in combining Rodgers Vocal style with Queen's more electric, more 90's May/Taylor solo style rather than trying to recreate the past like Duran Duran did when they failed their comeback mainly because they forsaked their natural style in an effort to recreate the dance/rock combo style that had it's day. This song is just what I expected, something along that later Queen meets Free/Rodgers and comes out cooler than I could have imagined proving once again that today's artists are little fingerpainting children nowhere remotely within reasonable comparison of Queen in any form. |
redspecialusa 04.09.2008 23:04 |
I was caught by surprise with this song, in a good way of course. I thought it was a nice new direction musically for them, and I think it's probably a viable candidate for the next single. |
Compliance Queen1 04.09.2008 23:07 |
For just a partial listen--I like it---as the boys have said each song is very different. I think the US single should have been Still Burnin..IMO |
