Hi,
No, I'm not accusing QPR of thievery, I'm actually just curious to lyrical content. I've not released "All Through The Night" via the internet or anywhere else. Queen + Paul Rodgers has a new song entitled "Through The Night".
In my past, I know that my songs "Say", "Teddy's Song", "Freedom", "Act Of Mercy", "Sister I Believe" (see QPR'S, "We Believe") have been internet releases long before, QPR, Bruce Springsteen, Melissa Etheridge, John Mayer, Blackmore's Night and U2 released their works. It's just that I was "hanging out" in their email and discussion forums for quite some time prior.
So, with that said, since Queen and now Queen + Paul Rodgers have been a major influence in my life of music, I present the lyrics to "All Through The Night" as written in print, 1986.
"All Through The Night"
By W. K. Mahler, ASCAP.
Living in a lonely world
Where all your cries can't be heard
Just got to try with all of your might
Keep on screaming through the night.
Yeah you can ride out this storm
Don't let it take you down
Just keep riding
All through the night
All through the night
All through the night
You can make it
All through the night
She said she wouldn't come back
Now your crying deep inside
I know it's tough but time is on your side
Just remember love never dies
Try not to let it fade away
'Cause love only goes astray
It goes astray..........
All through the night
All through the night
All through the night
You can make it
All through the night
No sign of light, just darkness all around
You keep on listening but there's not a sound
Don't you fail, keep moving on
Keep moving on
All through the night
All through the night
All through the night
You can make it
All through the night.
-End-
As I said, I'm just curious.....
AND eagerly anticipating the new release. :-)
I'll be at The Black Spot Cafe Bar of 10 Ocean Street, Hyannis, MA. USA every Wednesday night for open microphone night. link or link
Come join in the fun, perform and or be part of the fondly friendly audience!
Peace,
W. K. Mahler
WOW!!!
Yeah, I can see the biggest rock stars in the world stealing content from a guy who plays the local coffee shop.
Em...anyone want to buy the Golden Gate bridge? I'm selling cheap!
A humble request? Your lyrics feature the depth of a pastel-colored kiddie wading pool. Please cease your posturing as a competent lyricist immediately. The term cliche is too original to define such mediocre fare.
Just thought you should know.
Jennifer Rush, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and Huey Lewis and The News all released singles called the Power of Love within months of each other and none of them were bothered - and you think that some of the most talented and creatively original musicians ever known are consistently stealing your 20 year old songs that no-one has ever heard? I simply don't know what to say to that!!!!
Bill didn't say Queen stole his song. He didn't say anyone stole it. He just said it has a similar song title. It also has a similar song title to a Cyndi Lauper hit.

Are you sure you want everyone knowing that you know that?
And perhaps you could all read Bill's original post, paying keen attention to words # 3-7...
which apparently mostly everyone here must have forgotten by the time they posted.
But then, apologies to all the Literary critics who claim his lyrics aren't worthy of their time.
Of course he's real - it's Billy-Boy Mahler. Well known for years as being the biggest, most delusional fanatic of Queen since before the appearance of a certain Archivist.
Just let him roll with it - you'll find that he's pretty funny in a "The lunatics have left the asylum" way......
