link I'm just really bored..... You guys should see the placenta. I'm gonna have nightmares. *edit*: the title is typed wrong XDDDD 6 terrifying things they don't tell you about childbirth sorry. |
Smitty 21.08.2008 19:20 |
mmm, yummy. Oh, by the way, I hope you aren't referring to the picture of the placenta in the article. 'Cause, that's a picture of a nasty fish. This is the real placenta. link |

The human race is doomed. People are just too damned squeamish these days; if our ancestors had been as oogie about childbirth as we are, where would we be?! |

It's good though, IMO. There are too many people in this world now anyway. It's time to cut back... |

I was just kiddin about the nightmares! I'm not squeamish at all! In fact, my dream is to become a surgeon! I watch a lot of stuff (surgeries especially) that has to do with health and medicine. I update myself with the latest medical breakthroughs and stuff. My favorite books: medical encyclopedias and books about different diseases, etc. That picture of the placenta (I know it's not the blobfish) is pretty awesome if you ask me :P |
Lady Nyx 22.08.2008 18:45 |
tha placenta pic doesnt look real! lol it looks like somethign you find in a toy store as a gag gift (fake vomit, fake poop, etc). i didnt realize how weird it actually looked! i thoguht it would just look like dead lettuce XD im actually fascinated with surgeries but childbirth is something i know i never want to go thru. its not because of those pics, its just that i dont want to ever deal with is XD theres just too much that could happen that i cant handle. |

Childbirth is nothing compared to the 20+ years that follow it. I definitely don't want kids. Taking care of my own life is enough responsability. I don't need another life in my hands. Plus, little children must be the most irritating things in the world when they knock on your bedroom door right when you're about to fuck their mother. |
Neinbull 22.08.2008 19:40 |

I've done the delivery room three times, and let me tell you: it's horrifying. Seeing my favourite plaything contort and stretch and spew out a load of blood, shit, slime and placenta would be enough to put a man off pussy forever. But...nature is smarter than any man. When you see your immortality come into this world, see your woman take unbearable pain and deliver against all odds - that's a miracle. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. |

And all of them are the ones I hope never reproduce, honestly. It's gonna be a scary future. O.O |

Everyone has such rubbish views. I, for one, can't wait to have children. They're the best. Giving birth I don't look forward to, but I look forward to just about everything else. Except lack of sleep. This doesn't bode well. I'm not ready yet though, I'm way too immature and selfish. And lazy. But in a few years, Late 20's I imagine. |

The real placenta looked cool. Nothing there was too extreme for me. |

Childbirth does not last that long in most cases, thankfully for mothers. The diaper changes, waking up at all hours, feeding, clothes washing and batheing lasts for years. If it weren't for their smiling little faces it wouldn't be worth it. |

Charlie Brown wrote: Childbirth does not last that long in most cases, thankfully for mothers. Not that long? Most cases? Twelve to 20 hours or more of intense pain and unimaginable loss of modesty is more than long when you're experiencing it. It's never ending and constant. Child rearing is another issue - one that literally lasts a lifetime - but in no way can it be compared to the interminably long gestation, labor and delivery process. Those stand alone and at the peak of natural torture. |

I was in the room watching my sister give birth to her son. And I can tell you there is nothing like it in the whole world. She was in pain, and she'd been having regular contractions for 5 weeks prior to actually going into physical labor for Gage. I got to see parts of her that I never really wanted to see, and seeing her in that kind of pain very nearly had me in tears. I can only imagine what her boyfriend felt, who was also there with us. But she wanted us there (me, our mom and of course her father). John was amazing with my sister, staying there the whole time and being an absolute angel. And when my nephew was born and came into the world, that was a moment I'll remember until the day I die. Suddenly, none of the more gross physical stuff mattered. Here was my nephew, the most beautiful baby in the world IMO, perfectly formed and ready to start life. I've never seen my sister happier or prouder, and John was positively glowing with pride. The first time she held him, she forgot all about the weeks of constant contractions before hand, the pain of delivery. None of it mattered anymore. That, in my opinion, is love. |
