Hello everybody, As requested this is the show in Fukuoka 30th april 1979. I got it from the Hub (thanks to the sharer). It cames without any lineage. I tested it with audiochecker which says mpeg files, but the frequency analysis didn't look like an mp3 files, so... Good download Enjoy!!! |

I have another recording of this night, it might be another source. I got it some time ago on a trade. I also have this one which is plagued with crackles all over the recording (might come from a vinyl record???). My recording is genuine. I think the quality is slightly worse than this one but it does not have the crackles. Otherwise, the cuts are in other places than the one that is shared here. For example, I have the first minute of It's Late but then it is cut and Brighton Rock cuts in. There are other minor cuts but I have to listen to it again. I will post the txt file and if people wants me to share it, I will. I also think it would be a good idea to merge the two recordings to make the most complete compilation. PS: The date is wrong in the txt, it is the 30th of April, not the 20th. |

It seems my copy is definitely an alternate source. I will finish listening to it before sharing it. I will share tonight or more probably on monday because I'm not home this week end. |

I just notice the problem. I can read the file with winamp but I can't use the scroll bar. Same problems as the Newcastle 86 recently, but I'm not able to do anything. I'll see with the original sharer if she has the same problem. |

Hi ! Thanks a lot for this share, I didn't have this show. I created a Word document with the frequency analysis and spectral views of all the tracks, and there is something around 16.000 (with the spectral view, but not with the frequency analysis), so I suspect it to be lossy, but I would like some other opinion. Could someone with better technical skills than me have a look at that and give his opinion ? link By the way, I haven't checked the second version shared as torrent as I can't access it, so this is taken from this very version, not the other one, don't get mistaken. Thanks a lot for your feedback, and thank you Daffy for sharing that with us ! Regards, Olivier, France. |

Thank you vivaqueen, I went in holiday so I wasn't able to replace SHA! |

@ ruth: I checked your document with the frequency and spectral analyses (I'm no professional, so my opinion is not worth much!). I don't see obvious signs of lossy compression. The frequency spectrum is totally lacking the higher frequencies (and you can hear that in the recording), and I think this is due to the rather bad recording eqquipment and the acoustics of the venue. The strange line at about 16000 Hz doesn't really look like MP3, more like some distortion (from the tape or the transfer). The typical signs of lossy encoding are missing, like a clear cut in the frequency spectrum, "black holes" (parts without any sound information) or the flake-like blocks in the spectrum. I couldn't compare these files to the ones from L-R-TIGER1994's torrent that was reported lossy. Those arent available anymore. |
Nummer2 18.08.2008 11:58 |
Now I've compared this version to the MP3 version I had and the spectrum looks totally different. In my old version there's absolutely nothing above 15000 Hz ? except that strange line at 16000 Hz. |
Queenrockyou 18.08.2008 15:35 |
Ah yes, thanks a lot, we needed some more advice ! Thanks for your opinion ! If someone more aware of those things could confirm that we would be sure to have the good explanation ! Many thanks for your help ! Regards, Olivier, Belgium. |
