emm
what are you talking about??
queen+paul rodgers are performing since 3 years ago, and they played old queen classics plus free/bad co/paul rodgers stuff
And they recorded new material which will be included on the new album (it will be released on september)...and they will include those songs on the setlist
There you have some info...
I think what he tried to say was if it was fair or right that Queen and PR play those classics maybe refering to the fact that Queen died when Freddie past away, and not if they were actually doing it.
Gee, let me take a wild guess. A stab in the dark.
Uhhhh you don't think he should be singing any Queen songs???
BIM BAM WHIZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!OOOO
*flashing lights*
Tell him what he has won Johnny!
*game show announcer's voice*
He wins a wonderful all expenses paid vacation to happy happy Paul is taking over Queen land.
Where all the old Queen classics are being sung by Paul RoDGERS!!!! WOOOOOO
You and a guest will stay at the lovely PR Sheriton Hotel for forty days and forty nights in the Freddie-less suite where you will be showered with glitter and sow's urine. After relaxing by the poolside you'll want to tour the island in
YOUR NEW CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GASP!...*wild applause*
*yawn*
Seriously now, I know it fills the ghost of Freddie with seething rage whenever someone else sings the songs he originally sang, but there's no harm in another singer giving a go at performing these great songs live. It worked well at the tribute concert and it worked well during the Q+PR tours.
If you don't like it there is a simple way of dealing with it. Not listening, not participating and not giving a shit are all perfectly valid ways of not being involved.
It's really simple.
Tata for now.
Bye!
Ummm I'm not a HE...I'm a SHE and yes I know they're touring but basically I'm just looking for other's opinions.
Thanks to all that respond

Welcome to the board, Mrs Bad Guy. I suppose the the band will perform about 4-5 songs from the new album at the most and the rest of the concert will be old songs, they always did it that way and the fans want to hear the old stuff, too. Maybe they perform "Runaway" by Del Shannon because they recorded it in the studio (not for the album, though).
No Freddie No Queen

Mrs.Bad Guy wrote: Do you think Paul Rodgers should be singing all the old Queen classics? Or performing new material???
Actually, neither.
We've decided instead to perform the entire musical "Oklahoma!". Brian will be in rare form.
Oklahoma was all right then, and it's ALL RIGHT NOW!!!
