I think that camels are wonderful animals. I like them, their fur, the way they move. I think that their ability to survive in the desert is astonishing, they really are blessed animals. Most people say they stink, but in my personal experience I've found that that isn't always true and sometimes I've been pleasantly surprised by their smell. In a few words, you can say that I really love camels. What is your opinion on them? |

There were some camels nearby on a farm (about a 40 minute drive away) but they are no longer there. I was with my brother's family last year and we stopped to see them. They slowly walked across their field and came over to the fence. One of them licked the hood of the car. One put his head into the open car door to check out my 7 year old niece. It was very cute and funny. There was no spitting. They seemed very sociable and gentle. I pet their noses. So, I guess I could say I like camels - a lot. It would be fun to ride one, I think. |

Talking about Camels... Last year I was on a cycling weekend with a friend in the South of Holland (Limburg)... Close to Valkenburg we suddenly saw a camel on the cycling path. There was a man there, having a small zoo in his backyard and he was having a talk with the camel outside the gate. Quite an unexpected meeting... He even teached the camel to turn around for a piece of bread. Here's a video. The guy you see is my friend. link |
