Last saturday night I was listening to a radio program of a well known spanish rock music collector. He´s been airing his program for the last 25 years or so. His name is Jordi Tardà, and the program is titled "Tarda Tardà" (if any catalan queenzoner is reading this, they know who I´m talking about)
He´s a die-hard fan of The Rolling Stones and is always premiering any record from any rock band or singer (I remember his premier of The Miracle, the whole album, back in 1989, before the album was released!).
Well, last saturday he aired Say It´s Not True and talked a bit about the upcoming tour and album, and mentioned some song titles of The Cosmos Rocks (yes, he always mentioned the album as "The Cosmos Rocks").
So, he mentioned:
Say It´s Not True
C-Lebrity
The Cosmos Rocks (as a song title)
Red Queen In The End
He talked about "Red Queen In The End" being a tribute to Freddie (another one...) and blah blah blah ...
So, what do you think ?
Has anybody heard something similar?
any hint?
this guy is famous, among some of us rock fans in Catalunya (Spain), for some of his exclusive releases or news ... but also for sometimes spreading real bullshit
(and his last bullshit was announcing last saturday, even with big ads on the newspaper, that he was giving an exclusive premiere of the new QPR album .... and he only aired SINT)
cheers
Vali
I seriously doubt there will be any Freddie tributes on the album. They've already done No One But You - how many tributes do they need? It doesn't fit in to the whole 'new era of Queen' theme that Brian is pushing.
Well, my opinion is that Queen is moving forward and won't pay tribute to Freddie again. It has been done, so no need to continue with this. They are happy together, respect Freddie, but probably want to give something fresh and new. Fans will know their respect to Freddie anyway.
Another thought is that there could be an acoustic song on the album, as Paul's voice can be great with minimum instrumentation and softer guitars.
Well, just my opinion, but if Mr Tarda tells so, why not believing him...
My own way of thinking is let's see what's next and keep the surprise till the publication of the album. It probably won't be THE album of the year, nor the best rock event of the year as the Led Zep reunion show could have been last year, but fresh Queen-related music is generally always good to the ears, so... let's see what's next !

Olivier,

I think he is talking bullshit. The title (in his case) would be Red Herring In The End.
Yes!
I read something similar in El Periódico. The song was called then 'Red Queen' only. According to this newspaper, the song is (another) tribute to Freddie and the record will include a song with Brian on lead vocals and another with Roger on lead vocals ('Say it's not true'...?).
Do you know something about the selling of tickets in Barcelona or/and Madrid?
