Today, Jan 11th. Japanese breakdown label announce they have released a new Queen 1CDR called
FIRST AMERICAN TOUR feat. the full show from PORTLAND Apr. 28th. 1974.
This is a new source. Probably from the master tape of this source, which has nevley seen daylights.
Breakdown has previously released a bootleg of this concert, but thistime they use the better quality version of the show.
So they release a new version. As bonus they have added the BBC session from 1977. Taken from the "Wolfgang vault" web page.
See info over. I'll made a full review of the boot asap. The BBC session has excellent (best so far) quality."
How can the people from the bootleg companies look in the mirror every morning ?
These f*cking criminals download shows for free, and sell them for money. Great.
as long as people payin' for that stuff....
But otherweise, if you have a great show on factory pressed silvers, nice artwork, these bootlegs can be a juwel in your record collection. But a CDR bootleg...who's gonna pay for that?
Most of these bootleg companies are from Japan, why the Japanese government does nothing about shutting these degenerates down is beyond me.
And for every decent release one of these companies makes (for instance Tarantura's Young Nobles Of Rock) they release 5 high-gen piece of shit bootlegs which they bastardized. The same can't be said about Zeppelin though, those LZ labels are very nice and strive to put out the best product.

Well, not always! There have been a few nasty ones lately... how about the latest NY 7-28-73 from Empress Valley? That's the only reason why they came out with the 5-28-77 board. People knew the 73 release was a rip-off, so the 77 board was their "apology."

Some people don't know where to download the shows, so they're happy to pick up a "limited edition, 500 copies" CD. And some people like buying the bootlegs simply because they tend to have nice cover art. So, I say, live and let live.
Now and again these companies come out with a gem, so it makes it all worth while, I think.

No, the question is why does Queen Production do nothing about it. I'm sure most Queen fans have come across Trancer's website at some point over the last 10 years. He is located in the USA and has openly operated on queencollector.com and ebay for a long time (even selling stuff downloaded from QZ), yet QP have not shut him down.
I know we all have our opinions on the matter... but really... there's a genocide happening in Sudan, for example. Maybe we should focus our attention elsewhere..?

I can almost hear Jim Beach thinking out loud...
"Hmm. Maybe we should just let the few remaining fans buy all the bootlegs they want. It's not like we're ever going to release them (ha!), so the money isn't out of OUR pockets."

Yes, you're right, much much worse things are happening in this planet, I was simply upset about people who get things for free, and then sell them

I don't think QP has the power to interfere on Sudan, though, while a lawsuit against Trancer would be easy to win. ;)

Apparently, I deleted the rest of my thought in that post. That's what happens when you don't re-read posts before responding.
I was going to finish with "if QP doesn't care, I've learned not to care either"
I remember a couple of years ago I found here a very nice thread called something like "Stop it Trancer or you'll be reported".
It sounded nice, does anybody know what happened to this "project" since Tracer didn't close his site down ?

That was me. But I was very critisized for doing that - basically, most people refused to accept that as a legitimate attempt to shut Tracer's website down, but instead, an attempt to get attention.
To make it worse, there were some collectors fighting, throwing accusations, someone posted Seligman's picture critisizing him f*ck-knows-why, and that was it. Not many people really bothered signing the petition, or saying anything useful or helpful.
I'm just for fun watching Trancer's site right now, and what a surprise - he has in his "new" items things which look like things I shared here some time ago. A pure co-incidence, of course ?

I know Brian May is a nice guy, and Jimmy Page is a dirty old man, but when I look at Trancer's website, I wish Brian May would act like Page. At least once in his life.
As soon as people will buy unofficial material it will never stops to sell.
The best way to redirect people not to buy unofficial products is to release via QOL all these dry sounboards from archives on cheap price pressed CDs as Live Archive Collection for example. But it seems QP doen's bother at all about it.
Who are the people from bootleg companies ?
Queenzoners. Zeppelinzoners. Whozoners.
(Hint: They usually don't post much)
What? You thought it was some fat sweaty guy named Earl pressing these things in his garage? Sorry to rain on your parade.
