Hi does anyone think that A Queen tour with an orchestra would be very good it would bring a different sound to all Queen songs and Freddie would have loved it.
An orchestra playing along side Queen would prove to be quite entertaining. The thing about Queen is that their music, when stripped down to the bone, have the foundation for what real orchestral music needs. So, I believe this to be a great idea, and one that I hope will become a reality.
I always imagined TSMGO played with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, ( with Freddie of course, if he were still alive) towards the end of a gig. But carrying around an orchestra is not very easy to handle. Though I fancy the idea. :-)
Queen have a lot of songs that would sound good
A lot of other artists have done it. Ive got a Peter Cetera{Chicargo}dvd with one. And also Chris de Burgh done it with Beautiful Dreams.
Also they could record a new album with an orchestra aswell.

How fantastic for you. So you're the one.
There are a couple of Symphonic Queen releases out there includling The Royal Philharmonic and even one with that cross-dressing hermie Dee Palmer.
While some songs (WWTLF) would be just great, I can't see a whole night of it. C'mon, AOBTD?
When Metallica did it, someone should have put a stop to all Orchestral accompaniment.

Another One Bites The Dust is in Tolga Kashif's 'II. Allegretto-Allegro Scherzando-Tranquillo'. Believe me, it can be done. Besides, who says the orchestra has to play during the entire concert. Imagine resurrecting 'Save Me' on tour with an orchestra. Brian May could sing at the piano while an orchestra releases beautiful back drops and harmonies. Queen were always about harmony.
(With apologies to the original mixer) someone in here once posted a fan mix of 'Play The Game' - which consisted of an orchestral backing version and Freddie's isolated acapella vocal track.
I thought it was one of the better fanmixes, as it offered a new variation on an old theme.
I did look for the link, but I could not find it.
Perhaps someone else may be kind enough to find the link for you - or better still, perhaps the original mixer could stand up and repost his creation!

There was a We Are The Champions done the same way and that was good too.
A belated reply to matlin with thanks to Lord Fickle: link
I do not know about others though. If there are any, perhaps they could add the links as appropriate?
I hope this helps.
(PS: If you have not heard this version - it is worth a listen!)
