Is it me or is the opening riff from the Call the same as one from a certain Pink Floyd song off of the Animals album. Pink Floyd fans would know more than me I was just listening to the album and dont know which song it was, I think it was on the second side.
is it true?
if it's so I have to say that we passed a few years telling how bad THE CALL was, and now we discover that its riff is borrowed from PF ???
poor PF
poor BRIAN
pity me!
personally I always said TC has a beautiful scope even it's not musically relevant. Anyway I love the way Roger impersonate it: very powerful!
your sincerely
Claudio
I'd be very interested to know which song. The only one I can think of that qualifies is Pigs, but I can assure you that the chords and melody to Pigs are quite different from The Call.
The main melody from The Call was inspired by dialling 46664 on a mobile phone. Somehow I doubt Gilmour and Waters had one in '76.....
I don't think Queen borrowed any riffs from Kashmir on Innuendo.
But the chorus of No One But You resembles the solo on Pink Floyd's The Fletcher Memorial Home... well, in my ears, anyway .
