It looks nice, but it's still a crappy site. On a low resolution or widescreen the menu is not on screen when viewing the content, the gallery doesn't work (at least not in Firefox) etc.
Nice to see some clips on there, though, after comparing the youtube clip I found from the old mix and the new one on the site clip, I can hear what people mean about how JSS mixes the snare. Kinda thumpy sounding. Hmm...shame. And for the silly boy who said Brian gets louder and louder on these releases, he's in for a shock. I think Brian's more back in the mix (in a good way) so that the band mix of sound seems very cool. I'd say the last dvd from Eagle had Brian sounding very upfront and louder.
Another great thing I hear is that the vocals are all nicely merged for harmonies. Sounds great!
I can't wait to experience the dvd now!
Adam.
Why am I afraid that this site is better than the final product ?
BTW Why the f*ck is Jailhouse rock sped up ? And putting 16:9 video in a 4:3 box ?????? What about creating a 16:9 box or letterboxing the video ?
Why are the video clips anamorphically squashed?
It all looks very distorted.
Hope they don't mess up the aspect ratio again like they dis with Hits 1 or 2.
Either use open matte 4:3 or masked 1.85:1 (anamorphic) like the two previous Pioneer DVD releases, but not some made up concotion like they did with some clips on Hits 1 and 2

Well I hope the screwed aspect ratio is only problem of the website and the DVD will be OK

Absolutely agree - just listened to the clips (admittedly only on laptop speakers but will put on in my music studio later!) and the harmonies seem to have one of the best live vocal mixes of any of the Queen releases. Even when they have the multitracks tapes (like Wembley) the harmonies never really seem loud enough, or well balanced enough between Brian and Roger, certainly for my liking.
Hi there
What a great site and loads of clips both audio/videos makes this a must buy for me for sure, in my opinion this concert is queen at their very, very best.Full of power and emotion and delivered in true queen style i have got this on Vhs a long time ago maybe 87 and i have always enjoyed watching it.
This Dvd will truly be remarkable i for one can't wait!
It also seems to have some extra lit up crowd shots - good to see after all the years the true extent and size of the venue. Now I've seen the arena it seems even more to me as though it's a hell of a small stage (which I thought originally too) - Brian spends the whole gig hopping backwards!!!
Okay, I'd understand bitching about the aspect ratio of a dvd, but the website clips???? Are you trying to bring down the happy atmosphere in the thread?! lol I can tell you that I've had widescreen clips go like that on me, too. It can happen. It doesn't really matter at all what it looks like there.
Adam.
Adam, you're right, it's not a major concern, but it should be mentioned as any potential purchaser could be put off by a needless oversight (that could be corrected at any time).

Adam, this thread is about the WEBSITE, so bitching about the aspect ratio of the website clips is completely OK. And I still can't believe that they've created the PAL DVD by speeding up the film from 24 to 25fps.
Did you guys REALLY like the site? The design is simply lame. Why did they register a new domain for something so amateur? Any bored geek could do a better job with Adobe/Macromedia Flash.
It sucks even more than the album cover.
