Hey Guys, I know there are a couple Alice Cooper fans here as well, I just want to say I went and saw him to night and WOW.. he was great, for being 59 that guy has a LOT of energy, he did all his big hits including Welcome To my Nightmare, which my roommate who has seen him twice said he hasnt done either time he saw him in the past. he ended his show by hanging himself, which I am told is a rare one, normally its the beheading or the electric chair.
He is very much a showman and it really shows, just a GREAT show, so if you have a chance to see him on this tour, don't miss it, you will be glad.
of course my ticket was free because my roommate is friends with Alice's former guitar player Dick Wagner who wrote a lot of Alice's biggest hits like Nightmare, Only Women Bleed, Cold Ethyl and a few others.. it pays to have contacts. lol
there was a fab interview on 'Fresh Air w/Terry Gross' (USA public radio) last night where he went into his vaudeville influences, working w/Salvador Dali, Frank Zappa, and of course being a golf monster...good stuff
I love his radio show. Sometimes as I was listening to it when I went to sleep he'd say something so bizarre I'd think 'Did...did he say that or did I dream it?'. Hi-lair-ee-us.
