After the first time I heard Paul Rodgers sing a Queen song, I wasn't sure whether I liked it or not. It has taken some getting used to but I can see something good coming out of it, with the new albulm and all.
Did anyone else take a while to get used to it or is it just me?

I did too.But i always regarded Paul as an exellent singer, although he does sing in different genre(blues)and i trust Brian and Roger's judgement. Its slowly (but surely)
winning me over.=]
See I hadn't heard Pual sing before, and the first thing I heard was We Will Rock You, and I thought he was good on the vocals, and then I heard him on we are the champions, and whilst he was good I got anoyed with him constantly interupting the chorus, and I really didn't like what he did for A Kind of Magic though, not his kind of song. I think the only way to judge him is through the new albulm, we'll just have to wait and see..

I think that paul is a superb singer.
The only thing is that he is different than freddie.
Of course i like freddies singing better than pauls, but i dont dislike paul. And i am looking forward to the new album!!!!!!!!
I never had to get used to Paul Rodgers singing Queen songs. The first I ever heard him sing with Queen was by watching Return of the Champions. I was happy enough with the fact that Queen were back on the road, if anything I was thankful for Paul Rodgers helping front Queen.
I think Queen are on the right track with Paul Rodgers.
Everyone should read Brian's first Soapbox entry (on brianmay.com, for those who don't know) from June 14 to hear from the man himself why they chose Paul Rodgers, and what all the other options were. Perfectly articulate, justified, and honourable.
And other May-haters will probably say Brian has memory loss, that he doesn't remember the reason they chose him, and that they toured with Robert Plant and not Paul Rodgers
I guess I'll give the dissenting viewpoint here...I didnt really find myself having to get used to Paul singing those songs....for one thing, I was always a huge fan of Paul....before I even heard of a possibility of him getting together with Brian and Roger, I thought of him as my second favorite male rock singer...and there are a few Queen songs that just seem to suit him perfectly......The Show Must Go On, for one...
I wasn't really ever a Paul Rodgers fan... .. but I am very much looking forward to this new album... and hopefully they'll make it down to Texas this time around... ... .. I will say that I've come to appreciate Paul's voice a little more ... I'm looking forward to hearing these layered harmonies.
