Anyone have any thoughts or insight into the sale of EMI? link
Could this have any impact on the future of Queen releases, in particular the boxsets? Haven't seen this discussed anywhere, but it would be great if the new owners, looking to maximize the return on their investment, started pushing for more "Beatles Anthology" type releases from their more established artists.
Of course, this could just mean more Rocks-style rehashings of available material.
Anyone know if Guy Hands is a Queen fan?
All right!!!!
Time to get "The Best Of Queen" series up and running, since we've already used up Greatest Hits.
And all those Walmart releases? I can't wait!!!!
Blow me up, dog.

You, sir, are absolutely correct. I guess I wasn't thinking of that point of view when I heard the news EMI finally found a buyer. And I guess since Queen Productions owns most of their recordings and merely licenses them to EMI, there's probably not much EMI can do to force the release of the boxsets.
But a fan can dream and hope.
