Has anyone read/heard about that? All I know is that this time Brazil is included (yay!), and Lenny Kravitz has confirmed that he'll play here. I wonder if there will be ANY good act in Brazil. The Live 8 gig apparently was great in London and mostly shit everywhere else. |

this is that enviromental save the planet thing that Al Gore has got his mits into isnt it? its a nice idea asking everyone in the world to do their bit for the enviroment asking people to cut back on electrity use and cut back on their carbon emissions and recycle thier empty plastic bottles. so all these gigs are gonna be going on at the same time, with all these famous rock stars and performers telling us how to save the planet... how are they going to get to these gigs? no doubt by fuel guzzling private planes, helicopters and/or limo's leaving carbon footprints and damaging the enviroment.not exactly enviromentally freindly. how are they going to power these gigs? with massive amounts of electricity draining generators zapping the resources and causing harm to to the enviroment.not exactly enviromentally friendly. what will be drunk and eaten backstage? well, the goody 2 shoes tree huggers will no doubt be drinking water out of plastic bottles and eating food from plastic wrapping which will no doubt be thrown into a non recycling bin and the people watching will no doubt be off their tits on something and drinking plenty of water out of plastic bottles which they will no doubt throw onto the floor in front of them. sorry to say this but the whole thing stinks of hyprocrisy. do as i say,not as i do,as usual. so remember, while you are watching these gigs that they are actually causing more harm to the enviroment than good. on a seperate note.we had local elections here recently and the party putting out the most leaflets and damaging the enviroment by doing so were in fact the "green" party. |

Joxer, I don't know if this is the case, but there's already been concerts where the artists paid someone to calculate how much carbon they released from their trucks and shit approximately and how many trees should be planted to pay for that, and then they paid to plant the trees. Anyway, if it doesn't happen, we should remember that most artists on Live Aid and Live 8 have never done anything "useful" to help poor people, and probably waste lots of food and money. @ Mr Jingles: I never liked Kravitz... It sort of disappointed me when I watched the news on the TV and the only artist they mentioned that would play in Brazil was him. I'm still hoping someone good will want to come here. I wouldn't spend all day standing on a beach in a crowd to watch that man and a few lame bands, I want something good to watch. :P @ Jessie: How come you never told me? ;_; |

Ugh. Well. Spinal Tap makes it all okay. I wish those plonkers from Pink Floyd would do something before one of them dies. We need good music so there is something to counteract Robbie Williams shitty influence on the event. |
***Marial-B*** 20.05.2007 03:28 |
What's with Robbie??? Shit for me are a lot of artists that are going. From the confirmed ones just Muse, Madonna, RHCP, Snow Patrol, Wolfmother, Bon Jovi and Lenny Kravitz are the ones that I like. The rest is shit. I just hope that U2, Eric Clapton, Macca and Coldplay would say yes. Ooh! and the Spice Girls, to see a catfight xD. BTW... Bubu, James Brown is dead, how could he peform :S???? Or is just a tour with a radio and his songs xD??? |
iGSM 20.05.2007 05:59 |
Glue him back together. Heh, 'Owwwwwww, I feel dead...I knew that I would because I'm a zombie' *spreads zombism* And that's the day that Earth learned never to experiment with dead black soul/rap/funk/soulphunk musicians. Plus Yoko Ono? What's she going to do? Scream at Paul incessantly? Although Rhianna makes it all better. |
