If you should pick one non Queen song that would have been written and recorded by Queen witch would it be? And please, don´t say Grace Kelly cause Mika makes me sick. I cast my wote on Fading distant lights by Genesis... |

I don't know whether it'd be good, but I've always wondered what "I will always love you" would have sounded like sung by Freddie. |
DavidRFuller 13.05.2007 17:06 |
Hmm maybe Freddie singing on Thriller with Michael Jackson. It would have boosted Queen again in the eighties in the States. |

its amazing how the US general public loved a future child toucher, but not queen. |

kingarthur wrote: its amazing how the US general public loved a future child toucher, but not queen. They didn't know he was going to be a "future child toucher," and what evidence is to prove of this? Furthermore, America may not "love" Queen, but they sure as hell don't hate them. The air waves still play Queen frequently and I do see people running around with Queen shirts on. It's this whole generalization thing that is always taken way out of proportion. |

"On The Turning Away" by Pink Floyd could have been a good Queen song...Freddie would have sung that so well live, sort of "Is This The World We Created"ish.... |

i was thinking about this over the weekend because i was in the back seat of a car for six hours driving to kentucky. i'd really like to hear what "Cold As Ice" by Foreigner performed by Queen would have sounded like. it has some great harmonies that i think Freddie really could have perfected. |

'Rock N' Roll', but with Roger singing. Or 'Because' with the three of them singing. 'Life On Mars' would be nice as well (with Fred singing, of course). |

I don't care about written, but I would love to hear / have heard Freddie do some proper opera. I'm so slightly-worked-up about it because the guy at the book / music store said Freddie was on one of the "Pavarotti and Friends" CDs (also said Freddie would have been great for opera). I hope so. :P HIVES. |

yeah I have to agree-that would be interesting with foreigner songs. I think it would be pretty cool if he could do a Journey song as well. Maybe something like, Why can't This Night Go On Forever or The Eyes of A Woman. Yeah, I can definitely see him doing a Journey song. |

I'd acutally quite like to hear Freddie singing "Masquarade" from "The phantom of the opera".With all the highs and lows that this song has I think it would be perfact to show off his vocal range. And as for somthing band-bassed maybe somthing by Metelica...Fade To Black, perhaps. |

My mom thinks he would have been the perfect "Phantom" ! I always thought that role would fit him nicely - especially with Webber's "version" of the Phantom. "Masquerade" would be interesting overdubbed - just him or with Queen / friends. |

I hit on gothic metal music, for instance some works of Nightwish(I don't like all of theirs that much though...) He would have handled that kind operatically and weirdly, both growled and clean vocals would have been okay. |

freddie was very sensitive though he seemed very confident, he was so afraid of loneliness that may have contributed to him choosing gay style, you know women are harder to deal with, he took his job very seriously, he wanted to be a legend, he was very brave , he faced aids like no other, he gave everyting he had during the shows, he was very generous with his friends, he believed in love, he became suspicious becouse many left him down, freddie...there can be only one. |
