There are a few of these on E-bay (one is item #140064248699). Does anybody have this?
I remember when this came out that both songs got played back-to-back on the radio, and I'm wondering if this is what was actually played (instead of the DJ changing discs). The 12" record gives a running time of only 6:10 minutes for BOTH songs...were both songs put on the record as just one track? And how are they edited? Even the single version of FBG would put both songs over 6:10 I think.
Also after looking at two different labels, I've noticed the order of the two songs is flipped on some records, or else I'm just looking at the other side of the record. Do the songs mix together with a slight overlap (as a radio station would do) as one long track, or is there a space between them? I'm almost tempted to actually pay $50 for this to hear how it actually sounded on the radio in 1978 :)

I've got this. The songs are in reverse order on each side. FBG/BR on one side (AS-11401-X) and BR/FBG on the other (AS-11401-Y). Although I just noticed the running time is different on each side: Side X is 6:10, while Side Y is 6:11.
Don't have my turntable hooked up yet (or even unpacked), so I can't listen to the edits. Haven't played it since I bought it about 20 years ago, but I agree with P_G that they're not particularly exciting. But I'm glad to know it's worth about 50 bucks!
Actually the two single edits should add up to a 6:23 run time though, so that's why I was wondering if there's another slight edit somewhere...seems like a crossfade wouldn't account for over 20 seconds. But they could just be mis-timed or sped up.
And yeah I think Queen thought the double-A-sided single was going to be the wave of the future :)
I can play and rip it, if anyone is interested. I was moving my vinyl from one place to another, and found that I had three copies of this thing. I never noticed that this was the case, this cross fading and starting with different songs on each side. Thanks to all for pointing it out. I suppose I bought this on one my many record store Queen ransackings.
Good idea :) Unless there's an edit in the songs somewhere no one noticed before...in which case the Queen Trainspotter's Guide needs to be called in....
