You know, do you hate all politicians? Do you burn trash bins like you think it means something? Is the system the most evil thing in your eyes? Do you act the opposit of what you are told to do? Add more to your list if you want to. I believe everyone has been a rebel at least once in their life time. :D |

I think that always doing the opposite of what you're being told is senseless, as well as selfish ( considering it's not something life- threatening you're being asked to do, but rather something like "go to your room" ). One can always reach compromises instead of running to their room and slamming the door loudly enough for half the neighborhood to hear... And making these compromises does not mean that you're passive, either. It means you can think articulately. I'm also not a fan of those hard- headed people who never admit to the possibility that they may be wrong. So if someone was to ask me if I was a rebel, I'd say I wasn't. I don't quite have the energy or will to do that, anyway. :P |

I killed a man when I was told it was against the law. Does that count? And does it count that I put the Bible in the oven and watched it get devastated by the heat? |

I think I'm a rebel although not everyone can see that. Last year around September, I told my family I was coming to Spain, and they went nuts, I had huuuuuuuuuuuge fights with my mom and my dad, and my sisters asided to theirs. But they didn't realize I was doing it or not. I made all the paperwork and I started to watch houses for rent thorugh the internet. I made astudy to which city I should go. I was between Cadiz and Las Palmas, but at the end I decided to go to Las Palmas. When I had done everything, I told my mom that I wanted to go on November and she went nuts, when I talked with my dad he said that I should leave the house. So one day before I was leaving, I packed my bags and went to my best friends' house. That night was hell... I talked with them like several hours thorugh the phone. I had to go to my house and leave some things,my sister slap me and all that (First time I'm telling this) but I wouldn't change my mind after all. The next day I went to the airport with my best friend. I had still my cellphone and my mom started calling me through that thing all day. She said the most hurtful things you can tell to your child, and she also said she would kill herself. I was about tp throw up in the middle of the airport and all that. But still I did what I wanted to do. So I went to that plane who took me to Madrid, throw up (I was as scared as shit) and travelled for a whole day to get to my final destination. ***I never said this, but I wanna thank my friends here on the zone: Tijn, Bubu, Alex, Raf, Jess, Danny, Inna, Lori and all of them who were there to support me through this period which was one of the most interesting 'cuz I had a lot of feelings inside me like anger, happiness, sadness, exciment and all that in one package and I had some rough times. And besides of that they had to carry with my sister when she hacked my account :P. A huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge hug for all of ya ;).*** So I think that's one example of why I'm a rebel :P. |

I like to rebel against anything that's too popular or the "in" thing to do, like having a "blog" or myspace, or bathing regularly or having sex with other humans. |

I won't get into details, I've already tried to write it all here twice, but I really don't feel like talking about all that crap in public. Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm a rebel or not. I've already been called a rebel many times, but in most of them, I wasn't fighting against the law, against common sense or anything, but the other way round. People call me rebel for defending my own opinions, even if they're different from someone more important's opinions, or for doing things I'm not "supposed" to do (which I don't understand WHY I'm not, as I'm not causing myself harm, I'm not causing ANYONE any kind of harm and I'm not breaking any law). In a couple of years, I'll be a rebel like Mari, but I won't get into details, I don't really want to talk in public about what things are like between my parents and I. |

I think there is a more effective way of getting your voice heard against the system: be the system. That's what I plan on doing anyway. I'm headed off to university next year to study study study so I will have the know-how on all things political so I can make the changes myself instead of pestering someone else to do it. I know I may sound like a little kid fantasising about being an astronaught, but trust me, it'll happen. I've already got my foot in the parliamentary door. |

I won't elaborate on the details but the few people who visit this website that I am close to are aware of my rebellion... |
KillerQueen840 12.05.2007 22:01 |
I'm not a rebel. Sometimes I won't do things because I feel like I'll be senselessly conforming (hah feels like my IQ dropped a couple of points after saying that) but not ALL the time. I won't refuse to do something just to spite people (well, if I'm really pissed I might...). I just won't do something that makes me feel like I'm giving up my dignity or lowering my standards to cave into society. |
eenaweena 13.05.2007 11:49 |
well, you can say that i'm a rebel. pretty much every time i answer back (to my 'rents), which is not a good thing. but still i just do. i'm not just a rebel at home; i'm a rebel in society. i often wear clothes that aren't 'in' and my mom scolds me for that. i usually go against the flow, because if i went with the flow, i'd be more boring than i already am. i act completely in an unorthodox way, especially with regards to how a girl should really act. i'm also amusical rebel, because i listen to everything contrary to popular music nowadays. and people in school call me a wannabe rebel, so technically, i am. but i know my limits and i don't go overboard with my rebellion. :) |

I have no time to be rebel, I spend too much time inside my bedroom and too little time going out. If I could lock myself in a cage with all the things I needed, I'd probably do it. I'm just a misanthrope, so fuck off. |
