I have just finished reading Brian's Soapbox, and for all of the bitching (myself certainly included) about using the Queen name, or his hypocrisy about American Idol, or his obsession over orbs in his photos, he is a truly remarkable man, and a credit to the human race outside of music.
What I'm wondering is how his pursuit of his Phd is effecting the new album. Even though, it sounds like he's about done with it, so maybe it isn't posponed at all.

Totally agree. I found myself in tears after a few lines. Awesome.
Incredible... after starting it in 1970, he's finally submitting his PhD thesis this month. Not that I had any doubt, but it's amazing that he's publicly stating it now. The man will truly deserve all the accolades he'll receive after this one.
I knew he must have been very busy with something. He didn't even post about his trip to Toronto for the WWRY opening.

I started in 2003, and I've got some 6 months left to finish it. That means I'm about 10 times faster :P

Well yeah, but did you conquer the world with your rock band in the meantime? ;)
