He wasn't actually small. In fact, he was taller than the average European of his day. The myth that he was a tiny dude originates from the fact that his length was translated incorrectly: the French inch was considerably longer than the British one, but the conversion wasn't made. So, instead of 5'2" he was actually 5'6". So that's pretty tall for his day and age.
Oh, and he was the first European head-of-state to grant Jews full citizenship, so he should be lauded for that.

I met the guy who played Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite a few days ago, since they were filming a movie one block away from my uncle's house. "Pedro" was really nice...and his real name is Efren. lol

I read the greatest book on Napoleon the other day... It's called Betsy and The Emporer , by Staton Rabin. It's a brilliant book and, by the end, I was crying. Try getting it sometime!!

It's one of the movie industry's biggest losses that Stanley Kubrick's planned Napoleon biopic never got made. This comes from having read the script to it.
