I've been wondering when you listen to "Tear It Up" played live......particulary from Wembley is it just me or does Brian open that song with the opening riff from "Liar" I just realized that the other day and sure enough it is the same riff. Which makes me wonder if he was just doing that to kinda tease the crowd or something cuz I do recall a couple of concerts where he would act like he was going into a certain song and then jump right into another one....Anyways just wondering if anybody else has noticed this.
yes the Liar snippet was all a big tease. Freddie did a similar thing on piano numerous times in live shows - Spread your Wings, Death on 2 Legs, Millionaire Waltz to name but 3.
Yes, during the Q+PR tour Brian played riffs of White Man and Headlong (or Love Token, same riff) before FBG to test his drop D guitar tuning. Also he usually plays a Now I'm Here-esque D-major-chord riff as a base for a part of his solo. The old teaser, hehe :). Would it had killed him to play Now I'm Here in the tour??! Well, not him but maybe Roger with all that drumming, haha :D.
Wiley
Wiley, in Cologne he 'pretended' to play Now i'm here by playing the first few chords in between two songs; probably to have a laugh with Roger; who looked very surpised. Nice moment.

That must have been fun to see, hehe :). I wish they had used a rolling setlist, like Roger mentioned before the tour. We got only tiny variations, which are only noticeable about 4 shows apart, hehe :).
Still, Brian's solo with the Blue Danube in Vienna and Last Horizon right after that was pure magic :).
It took another 4 shows before they'd top that moment for me. Overall, San Diego was the best show I attended and I can't mention it enough in these forums, sorry.
