I think this one is never posted before. I extract the audio from 2nd generation vhs that telecasted in 1976.12.26 I think rest of the show is needless to uploading, therefore Bob Harris's introduction only. quality is very good. OGWT Intro > Bob Harris's Intro > Now I'm Here 2nd Gen VHS (Sam Sung CVS-633) -> Sound Forge 7.0 -> WAV -> Cowon Jet Audio -> FLAC 8 link |

Thank you. Frank39 posted it a while ago as DVD but someone might have missed that. I don't know if there was a flac version out. ;-} |
Mr Mercury 15.04.2007 07:27 |
Im sure I have it on video somewhere. If I find it, I will upload it later ok. |
somebody13 15.04.2007 07:48 |

Heres the video clip as mentioned earlier from Frank39, for those who want it but dont have it. Notice that he is using John's mic - it must have been one of the few times it was turned up. link |

Well I've checked this file with the audiochecker for here link and it says this file is 100% mpeg :( |
somebody13 27.06.2007 05:45 |
this flac was OGWT VHS direct rip. so if it was lossy Maybe transfer problem. I'll check this. if the file was lossy and I'll re-transfer my VHS;-) |
Cebe 27.06.2007 05:46 |
Thanks for video. Anyone can upload FLAC intro again? Thanks. |
somebody13 27.06.2007 05:49 |
the link is still alive |

somebody13 wrote: this flac was OGWT VHS direct rip. so if it was lossy Maybe transfer problem. I'll check this. if the file was lossy and I'll re-transfer my VHS;-)Hm, if it's a straight VHS rip, it shouldn't be lossy :-( Check what your software tells, thanks |
somebody13 27.06.2007 06:07 |
I ripped audio in 48000khz first and then resample to 44100khz. this was wrong? |
somebody13 27.06.2007 06:17 |
Spectrum analysis is strange but I think it's not lossy. see below snapshop. anyway I'll re-transfer this in 44100khz |
pittrek 27.06.2007 06:18 |
Well theoretically yes, because you "cut off" some frequencies (similar like an mp3 encoder), maybe that could confuse the analyser ? |
pittrek 27.06.2007 06:23 |
And btw a personal question - could you also rip the rock'n'roll medley if your copy has it ? I think that a true lossless copy of this medley was not yet uploaded here - correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks |

I don't think so. IMAO, RIR 1st night is unique and the most notable show in entire the Work tour show. my personal favorite 1985 era show with Budokan 1985 show. |

If not, then I can rip the audio from my DVD. I have the silver DVD of the "Christmas Eve At Hammersmith" (Room 101 Entertainment) version. ------------------------------------------------ Sir GH. DVDV is in mpeg2 format. and mpeg2 is always lossy also it's silver |

So if his DVD had LPCM sound and he rips it, the audio will be a true lossless wav file. |

A few years ago, I did this for an SVCD... but of course that's lossy. Ah, maybe one day! I´m kind of lost here, because i don´t understand why all the versions of this medley sound the same! It's because the video is the only source for it! Well, except for the edited version that was on Rare Live. |
