Hey Everyone, Just wondering if anyone's planning on going to either one (or both) of Paul's back to back concerts in Atlanta on the 13th and 14th? Erin & Pieter, I'm assuming you two are going. I'll be there! This is in general Queen discussion, because Paul Rodgers is now the lead singer of Queen. So there. Hope to see everyone there! Jordan |
PieterMC 05.04.2007 11:33 |
I doubt that we will be there to be honest. |

PR is not the lead singer of Queen. He's a frontman, singing Queen songs. Basically, a gun for hire. Queen had only one lead singer. |

Paul Rodgers was just helping out Roger and Brian, who are really from Queen. Sadly, all he was doing was RUINING every song that our beloved Freddie sang! I cringe every time I hear him sing a Queen song. He indeed can carry his own, but NOT with a Queen Song!! Brian and Roger should have done their own thing- with all the help they needed from a Video Screen..with Freddie taking the lead. I am NOT interested in Paul Rodgers! Or in "fans" of Queen, who just discovered them five years Ago!!! |
PieterMC 05.04.2007 16:11 |
Owlbee wrote: Or in "fans" of Queen, who just discovered them five years Ago!!!Sorry - that statement is just plain DUMB. Why can't you be a fan if you only discovered them 5 years ago. Perhaps they were not born when Freddie was alive. |

You know what, I do. I admit it! ONLY because, I wanted to see how Brian and Roger approached certain songs and how "Bohemain Rhapsody" was displayed with Freddie being included because of the VAST respect that should always be given to him! I truly watched it once, because I was curious. And I still do Love Roger and Brian. Even though they were misguided by their decisions and actions to feel that another musician could even come close to Freddie's sound and performance. Tributes are okay and I would expect the singers not to do so well with Queen songs- (which is very difficult), BUT to go on Tour and Record an Album of Queen Songs with someone else???? BIG MISTAKE!!! "New" fan of Queen? I can appreciate it, but I Cannot Relate. Sorry to offend any new fans!!! |

OWLBEE, ERMIN and others who are hijacking this thread with your "RIP Queen 1991" bullshit, go fuck yourselves. This is a thread in regards to Paul Rodgers, live in Atlanta, next week. Either you're going or your not. Otherwise, I could care a less what you fucking think. I am so tired of not being able to post something reasonable about Paul on queenzone, without having someone like you ruin the fun for everyone. Thanks. |
ermin 05.04.2007 19:46 |
mrjordy, thanks for the advance, but my d*ck is not that long to reach my butt. well, mrjordy, this is queenzone. who the f*ck cares if PR has a concert in Atlanta? if you want to post on queen, do it, but if you want to talk about PR, then go to his website and masturbate over his picture. |
ermin 05.04.2007 19:47 |
advance should've read advice...typo... but the message stands |

Not dignifying this with further response. I didn't mean that nearly as crude as it came out, but you know - we're all just music fans here. This Paul Rodgers battle of the bands needs to end. Brian and Roger have made the decision to let this man front Queen and like it or not, this is where Queen now stands. I, personally, like it and am anxious to see Paul live in Atlanta. He is a talented man - that is undeniable. PIETER: Hate to hear it. If you two change your minds... It should be quite a good show. Got second row center seats. |

mrjordy, neither did i. but it came out rather crude (both your and mine responses). in any case, i apologize. if you want to go to watch PR, it's your choice. good luck and have a great time if you do! |
mrjordy 05.04.2007 19:57 |
Owlbee, I'm glad to hear you fuck yourself. I can blow myself. Very limber. God bless Paul Rodgers! |
mrjordy 05.04.2007 19:57 |
And ermin... Thank you. There's not enough "Paul resolution" here on QZ. |
Owlbee 05.04.2007 20:10 |
Actually, Paul Rodgers IS a great singer, in his own format. One of my favorites songs ever is sung by him. So,enjoy the concert, and I truly just feel VERY protective of Freddie. |
ermin 05.04.2007 20:15 |
and they live happily ever after.... |
mrjordy 05.04.2007 20:17 |
Owlbee, have no doubt - I am completely and utterly obsessed with Freddie. Have been ever since I was 10 years old. |

It's nice to know those of us in the younger generation can just fuck off now. ;) Being 21 myself, I think it's fantastic a lot of kids are getting into Queen. Mind you, some of them are morons who only think "OMG!11!! LIEK THERE SO CUTE!111!1!!", but don't go painting all the young fans with the same brush. There are a few who actually listen to the music. |

Got second row center seats. All I've been able to pull up are shitty seats..:-S I would definitely like to see him. I wonder if decent seats will pop up last minute. What's this Owlbee going on about? I'm 29, and I've been a Queen fan for nearly 16 years now. If anyone thinks you can't be a "real" fan if you are under 40 or haven't seen Freddie live, they're talkin' shit. Maybe that's not what they meant, though. |

why all topics where Paul Rodgers is mentioned must finish in flaming? and by the way, Paul Rodgers IS NOT QUEEN MEMBER He is just fronting Queen on the tour that's it. When new album comes out, he will be lead singer of Q+PR BAND |

Why so few people are answering the question? Personnaly I can't go see him because I'm much too far; I can't even afford the show in Amsterdam. |
