wow i remember my password
i've just seen there's a new brian may guitar effect made by digitech.
does anybody have it?
so, I say good easter to the old old old gang.
it was 10 years ago!!!
Vox
I had it.
And of course when I gave the opinion that it was junk, every Queen lover disagreed.
I'm starting to realize that asking people here about instruments and gear is similar to asking someone in high school.
Last week there was a KEYBOARD thread going around with all these Queenzoners bragging about their Casio and Yamaha keyboards. I think I played a Casio when I was 5 and I won't even bother with Yamaha. And they aren't talking about the Motif!
One guy, Penetration_Guru, really got offended when I gave my opinion. But then he thinks Marshall amps are crap. So there you go.
My advice: Try before you buy. And really play the thing. Boss makes pretty good cheap effect pedals. Digitech? Anybody who knows anything about effect pedals knows that Digitech relies on samples for their effects. That's why they aren't very adjustable. You can't make blue red.
But again, Queenzoners would probably not understand why I have a $200 Peterson tuner and not a $14 neon green "Quik-Tune".
well, thank you for answering.
I still haven't seen the effect by person.
I've seen pictures and found samples on the net and you tube.
the "toy" seems to be very nice on sound and the package is very fashion.
Now. I think that if someone wants it 'cause it's signed by Brian.. as any other collectioning stuff, ok, take it.
If you want it 'cause it's "Brian" sound for guitar, take it.
If someone is too lazy to find out those sounds using the effects already owned, ok, take it.
but if you already have a multieffect for guitar, you can find out the sound ny yourself.
I have a very old Zoom9002 I bought on early 1991.
It has a compressor, distortion, flanger, chorus stereo, double pitch, 2 delay, one mono and one stereo, 2 reverbs, equalization, a kind of auto wha, and a strange "metallic" sound that set up is similar to the "headlong" sound.
I already have a Dunlop CryBaby.
What could I miss? One thing.. the triple delay (3 way delay). Yes this is the only one reason I could go to spend 225€ (the list price is 309€).
But...this sound is related to the sound of Wembley 1986 concert. My god.. For me the "brighton rock solo sound" is the Live Killers one!!!
So I have this line
Guild bm pro>>crybaby>>vox bm (the deacy replica as boost)>>the zoom9002>>H&K 100W.
The last week I bought a cheapy guitar. The Stagg "T Nitro". A Telecaster replica with 2 humbuckers. I needed it to install my 2 old pick up DiMarzio mod. B.May. The kind of pickup that you can see on the guild of One Vision Video. I had a couple of them from late '80s.
What the digitech miss? The hands, the taste, the tecnic that only brian may can put on every guitar!
Don't be upset 'cause peoples opinion.
If you like Marshall buy it, if you lole Vox buy it, if you like Fender buy it. If you like Epiphone buy it, it's cheper than gibosn, and sound the same. I want to know who can feel the difference on the sound after you put everything into a multieffect.
I play for fan.. and if i find nice to play a tennis racket.. i do that... I used to play a screwer in place of a plecrto LOL ;-)
good week end
