...technology like this (2007) was back in middle 80's? what do you think, i personaly think he would live few years longer... |
deleted user 01.04.2007 18:23 |
HE WOULD HAVE STILL GONE TO HELL. In other news, yes OF COURSE, he would have had a better chance to survive with modern technology. I mean... there's proof that it's possible to "make it" (and for even a very long time) with today's technology to fight AIDS. |

he would still be alive if he didn't get together will jim hutton... thats just me because i seem too noticed he only really became sick once he got together with jim. |

I think he would have survived longer. With all those "if's" we could make anything we want, the problem is Freddie never made through the nineties. |

"i seem too noticed he only really became sick once he got together with jim." You don't really believe that do you?? (sigh) A person will usually have HIV for quite a while before it can develop into AIDS - which is the part where you waste away. Who Freddie happened to be in the room with really had nothing to do with it.... it was just a matter of time. |

I'd like to think with the benefit of hindsight that had freddie not had stop taking this medication and with willpower, support and encouragement he would have lived longer and with the research into the virus and better medication he would have lived on for 3 to 4 years. |

Hey guys, do you think Freddie would still be alive if he were immortal? |

<b><font color=666600>Music Man wrote: Hey guys, do you think Freddie would still be alive if he were immortal? But Freddie was GOD, wasn't he? Doesn't that mean he was.. IS... immortal? Maybe we're all just looking for him in the wrong places. Where do gods do their godly things, anyway? |
brENsKi 02.04.2007 13:18 |
<b><font color=666600>Music Man wrote: Hey guys, do you think Freddie would still be alive if he were immortal? No. Freddie would've challenged the very extremes of immortality...the Oxford dictionary would have been forced to rewrite it's definition: IMMORTAL: usually not mortal; not usually liable or subject to death; usually undying. |
Micrówave 02.04.2007 13:22 |
No. Connor McLeod would've lopped his head off by now. |
Rick 02.04.2007 16:38 |
And if he was still alive he could read this crap on QZ. No, he is one lucky bastard that he doesn't need to go through this. |

Well, think about it - Magic Johnson announced he was HIV+ the same weekend Freddie died. Magic Johnson is alive and well and living with HIV almost sixteen years later. Did he/is he receiving better medical care? That could be the true question... |

Not everybody's body reacts the same way to an HIV infection. Some may live for 3 years, some make live for 7, and so on. Magic Johnson, besides being incredibly fit and having the best health & fitness people in the world taking care of him (not to mention the best case possible in the U.S.), has also had the fortune of not having his HIV become AIDS - this depends on the way your body reacts. There have been a very very few number of cases were people who have had HIV have cured themselves - i.e. their HIV disappeared. None of these cases have been proved 100%. A well documented case is link .... Anyways.... regardless of this, I'm pretty sure Freddie Mercury wouldn't have made it anywhere close to his 50s.... yeah HIV and AIDS medicine nowadays is more advanced than it was in the late 80s and early 90s, but essentially, if you have HIV, you're fucked. Maybe if he didn't get HIV he'd have died from smoking.... he was a heavy one. |
