Songs from each album that would make good singles, looking at stuff like genre, accesibilty, length etc. I don't have to like the songs (altough I do like most of them): Queen I: My Fairy King Mad the Swine Queen II: White Queen Ogre Battle Sheer Heart Attack: Stone Cold Crazy Bring Back That Leroy Brown In the Lap of the Gods... Revisited A Night at the Opera: Death on Two Legs '39 A Day at the Races: You And I News of the World: Sheer Heart Attack All Dead, All Dead Get Down, Make Love Jazz: Let Me Entertain You Dead on Time The Game: Dragon Attack Hot Space: Put Out the Fire The Works: None, actually. A Kind of Magic: No, nothing... The Miracle: Was It All Worth It Innuendo: I Can't Live With You Made in Heaven: Made in Heaven, Mother Love Songs that should not have been released as singles: The Game: Play the Game Crazy Little Thing Called Love They both suck, and those spaces on Greatest Hits could be used for something better. Hot Space: All of them, except of Under Pressure, Las Parablas de Amor and maybe Back Chat. The Works: Radio Ga Ga. Yeah yeah, maybe it was a super hit. Who cares, it's ghey anyway. Altough the B-side is good. A Kind of Magic: A Kind of Magic, One Year of Love, Pain is So Close to Pleasure, uh... damn they released a lot of singles from this album... Made in Heaven: I Was Born to Love You, You Don't Fool Me |
AmeriQueen 05.04.2007 22:10 |
The grand F-up Queen made here was not releasing Dreamer's Ball in the United States. I love the song, but wouldn't see it necessarily a single, but I am not the average American. The masses would have made it twice the hit 'Crazy Little Thing' was, I guarantee you. |

Nothing from The Works Neppset?? Is you kidding me mate? It's their 3rd best album after Q2 & ANATO. And I can't believe no one has mentioned Keep Passing The Open Windows. Easilly the best Queen song never to be released as a single. March of the Black Queen is probably my fave album track of all but it isn't really single material. And I think the B side to Radio Ga Ga, I Go Crazy, should have been an A side release as it ROCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. |

I agree to an extent about releasing singles without Freddie's vocals, but in the case of '39 - it would have made a great contrast as a double A-side with Love Of My Life. I Go Crazy would have made an excellent a-side single....it would have been an ideal comeback song for the group after two years away and the disappointment of the Hot Space album. |
