it is sad news that the concert director
from canada 1981 gigs saul swimmer just died.
from hart failure and 2 not working kidnies.
he with mobile vision had recorded the 2
boring montreal concerts of queen.
the 2 nights had been mixed together to
just 90 minutes for vhs release in 1984.
the very first officialle queenconcert release.
in the 90s rereleased on vhs and laserdisk.
in 2001 also the first official concert dvd.
it’s a shame that they did’nt released one
complete gig from queen in montreal.
i think they should leave these concerts
in the vauls and relase buenos aires or
sao paolo in brazil.
because these are magic performances in 1981.
Well this is a strange way to get the news, but anyway thanks. link
I didn't realize he directed the legendary "The Concert for Bangladesh" also. He died too young. R.I.P. Mr. Swimmer. I shall listen again to the WWRY commentary today... seemed like a sweet guy.
