They should definetely release a few shows from the seventies in a cd or dvd audio box set.The A day at the races, NOTW and Jazz/crazy tours are essential Queen and should be included in this collection. I would also include an early show, maybe a '75 japanese show.Of course I do not know what's in the archives but they must have recorded some of their shows.
The best bits from The Rainbow, Hyde park, Houston; Munich '78 and 79 and other shows that are incomplete or not in good enough quality(like also hammy)should appear on a dvd.(Led zeppelin style)
But before they do all that I think they should bring out some more commercially interesting stuff like the full Earl's Court show(a compilation of both nights)and the Hammy'75 show and a better version of the live killer's album as Greg Brooks promised in his book;-)
For the eighties I suggest the following:
-A 2 DVD set from the South-American tour.
The Hot Space tour has already got its release with On Fire At the Bowl.
-Budapest is of course a fantastic shows and the quality of the recording, both video and audio, is so oustanding that it needs to be released.
Apart from these releases they could also release a 'Best of the eighties' set with additional footage from the first Wembley show in 1986,the existing footage of knebworth(they could at least include ITTWWC),rock in rio footage, japan '85 footage, footage from Sout-America 1981,Japan '82(calling all girls if they find the footage:-), leiden '86,...(again Led Zeppelin DVD style)
If they release some of that within the next 100 years I'll be happy though:-)
I concour, but I wonder where people on you tube get the videos of some of the things from, suggesting there are bootlegs or soemthing available already somewhere.
have aletter compaign sending the same letter to Brian May each week to really bug him into getting something done about this serious issue. Seriously.
Jen (the webmaster) open each letter... and delete it... and Brian never read it... get over with it.
and Brian still works in the *NEW* album...
we should calm down a bit and wait for the new material... and stop asking Brian and Roger releases of old material... im sure THEY dont have anything to do with that matter.
