Unless there is something stashed away that we aren't aware of, this is a very first for the overwhelming majority of Queen collectors and concert enthusiasts - myself included. It's a video of the band performing It's Late. A silent 8mm video labeled as "Europe 1979" recently emerged, and after extensive research, I concluded that it was from Berlin (you can ask me about how I came to that conclusion if you're really curious). The video includes part of It's Late, so I decided to synch speed-corrected Berlin audio to it. I plan to eventually synch audio to the entire 13 minute video and keep it lossless, but for now, enjoy this mpeg clip, which is certainly the most interesting part of it. Here's Queen in Berlin, 1-24-79, playing It's Late: link Hope you all like. |

That is just amazing, thanks very much Bob! How cool would that be as a menu video on a Queen version of the Led Zep DVD? |
bigV 22.03.2007 15:08 |
I haven't seen the video yet. As much as I would like to see it, I would rather wait for the full video. Anyhow, thanks for this GH. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been to do it. V. |
foreversilence 22.03.2007 15:29 |
Hello Sir GH Firstable Thx A lot for this video Please can you tell me from where have you got it? And later will you upload the 13 minutes video? |

David Jones wrote: How cool would that be as a menu video on a Queen version of the Led Zep DVD?Ahhhh... such wonderful thoughts! bigV wrote: I haven't seen the video yet. As much as I would like to see it, I would rather wait for the full video. You may be waiting a while! Besides, none of it will be nearly as interesting as the It's Late clip! I can only imagine how difficult it must have been to do it.It was a bit of trial and error... it took me about an hour. Last year, I spent a couple hours watching the video carefully to see which songs they were playing, and I took notes. It has short clips of most of the songs from the night, whereas the Rotterdam video has longer clips, and thus a lesser number of songs. foreversilence wrote: Please can you tell me from where have you got it?It was from a collector in Germany. He just had it in his collection for years and years, and he traded it to me and a couple others. And later will you upload the 13 minutes video?Absolutely... but I have no idea how long it will take me to finish it! --------------- Here's a rapidshare link for those who were having trouble: link |

Thanx Bob, your stuff is really great in the last month, esp this video. but what is this: I get the message: This file has expired due to inactivity??? First I got 3 times: not available at the moment. Can anybody help me out? |
The Real Wizard 24.03.2007 11:44 |
Frank, this still works: link I've been waiting months for your reply about the Earls Court audio, by the way. The quicker you reply, then the quicker I can get to work, and the quicker everyone has the best possible DVD of this show. |
Padilla 24.03.2007 13:08 |
Finally got around to DLing that and watched it, wow that is great work. Thank you!!! |
frank39 24.03.2007 14:46 |
Thanks Bob. I must tell you, I was almost ready, but then I found some dropouts on the left channel, which should not be. So in the end: I´m gonna do it again, and I won´t let the recording ( 2Hours!) alone again, like I did that time. Only prob is my lack of time. Looking forward to =it´s late" BTW: Which LedZep is a Matrix recording? I remember you talking about it recently. |
onevsion 24.03.2007 15:11 |
Excellent work Bob! 8mm is so much better to watch with the original audio under it! Must have been a hell of a job...! |

They're on the original source tape, so you can't fix those. Just make sure you've got the VCR tracking set properly, and it will sound perfect. Keep me posted! |
