David Lee Roth

He is so damn cool!! (is there's a post about Shitvana, why shouldb't be a post about Diamond Dave??) |
| Saif 18.03.2007 02:54 |
I have to say, there's a bigger connection between Van Halen and Queen than between Nirvana and Queen. Hehe. Eddie Van Halen and Brian May are personal friends and Eddie himself said that his guitar playing was influenced a lot by May's. David Lee Roth is one of the blond rock gods.

Wow...why does this always happen when someone brings up an artist or group other than Queen? Why all the hostility? Anyways, to the topic at hand: David Lee Roth is hailed as one of the top vocalists of the 1980's. Van Halen has never been the same since he left. Sammy Hagar could not fill his shoes, and neither could *shudder* Gary Cherone. "Diamond Dave" is a pure showman. From the clothes to the gestures and humor on and off stage. In a way, our Freddie was similar. They both had their flamboyant antics in concert, and both had impeccable vocal stylings. Dave these days, though...he could be better. His hair's whack, and he still can't get things straight with the rest of Van Halen. It was disappointing at the 2007 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Ceremony to see only Michael Anthony (who is no longer in the band) and Hagar there. I don't know...things don't look good for Van Halen. Dave's still a good man. He just needs to check himself. (oh and btw this really should have been in the "Personal" forum) |

I agree. This is NOT a Van Halen/DLR site. But.... DLR has done little of substance since leaving VH. Not one truly memorable album and his best solo single was a cover of a Beach Boys song! Both he and VH were at their best when they were together as a unit. But I disagree about Sammy Hagar. I thought he had a great voice. |

yeah, but he's only trying to defend himself from you guys...I mean yes, aybe a youtube thread is a good idea, but that's ok. I just don't think it was right to start yelling at him like that. |

I just don't think it was right to start yelling at him like that.Who said anything about youtube? Every time I come on here, all I ever see him do is antagonize other people, for little or no reason at all. Not only that, but he doesn't do it cleverly - he does it as only a four-year-old would. |
| QueenTaylor 20.03.2007 21:28 |
yeah but thats to the people who have commented on the youtube threads. He wouldn't post anything like that to people if he didn't have a reason...azza isn't like that. |

I will take your word for it, but if he persists in this behavior, I'll not let him alone. |

<b><font color=666600>Music Man wrote:Hmm..good question. He could be a sexually frustrated, unattractive, young 18-20 something or about 12, 14, etc. I'm going to go with the sexually frustrated, small penis, acne, 18-20 proto-type. I do detect a tad of intelligence though at times which is a little unfortunate seeing as he could potentially contribute positively to the board. I think he's just a bored little dude. I think he likes to litter numerous/various noticeboards hence all the spelling errors and such at times, he's in a hurry to get all his insults and such in. I believe he knows how to spell quite well and use proper grammar but he's got so many notice boards to pollute, his time is limited and so there you have it. He likes to "bother" people, but I tend to like people who like to bother people. That's why I'll be sad when he's gone.Lisser wrote:Hey, I'm great. How are you?
