Does anyone else think that roger taylor is being carried by brian may?
i dont wish to offend any roger fans, but it seems that the majority of people who went to see qpr are propably there for brian and not roger.
honestly, if you dont play an instrument then you probably wouldn't realise if roger swapped with someone half way through. however the same cannot be said for brian. i have to say i do think roger is one of the worlds greatest and, as i do play an instrument(guitar), i note many of rogers trademarks, and there are quite a few. I just think maybe roger needs a little more recognition.
so...any one think he is being carried?
I think Roger is being Carried off Brian
I think Brian is being carried off Freddie's memory
I think QPR is being carried off 'We are old, washed up, suck but wanna prove to ourselves are not dead' fame
period
I don't think so...I think you have to look at it from Roger's persepective; Queen was (is) his life for so long and was something he truely loved to do. So when the opportunity presented itself, i think he gladly said yes...
Cheers
h
azzadude i guess your right but i think brian gets more recognition than roger. i think roger deserves more recognition than he is getting.

I kind of have to agree with you on that...
Most people (if not all) know who Brian May is. Hardly anyone, however, knows Roger Taylor. Brian May made a name for himself, I guess...
but it's not ALWAYS like this...
I think Roger should DEFINITELY be more recognized..
just look to ROTC dvd... when Roger comes out of the drums to sing Say its not true...
he get´s a MUCH bigger ovation than Brian 5 min later...
They both rock!!
P.
Yes, but brian gets a big round of applause when he starts( the rather simple, but brilliant, and not hard to play)i want to break free solo.
but your right brian has been alot more current than roger. also, although brians released less solo stuff than roger, his was much more successful.
I think that RT is the only Queen-member who has his own unique style of writing(very different from Queen) songs. He is also the most productive one besides Queen (Solo, The Cross, producing etc.).
Roger Taylor is not a (media)attention addictive person and very much lives his own life. He doesn't have to prove anything(he was 25% of one of the biggest bands ever).
I think Brian should help Roger by claiming that it was Roger who actually wrote Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, and Another One Bites the Dust. Since Brian has no problems rewriting history, this shouldn't be too difficult to accomplish. And with so many gullible fans, there will be many people who believe will believe it :-)
it's only normal that brian is more in the spotlight....a drum is a drum even if the drumer has style...but brian style + that home made sound and guit will allways have demands or offers....
i love roger's style and mimics...and wish i had that type of drummer to work with.
ABSOUTELY NOT! YOU'RE A MORON!
Roger Taylor of Queen is one of the most influential drummers of the 21st century. If you don't believe me than listen to the drumming precision on BoRhap or Seaside Rendezvous on A Night at the Opera. Also his falsetto vocals which I doubt he can hit the notes he did when younger are a significant part of the Queen sound.
So SHUT THE HELL UP!
Ignorant Berk!

Must agree with above post. Roger is one of THE most accomplished drummers in the world. Totally economic and distinctive. Listen CAREFULLY to any live show and try 2 stop his mistakes!! - you'll be listening for quite a while I'm sure.
Would you rather have Phil Collins?? or Neil Peart - didn't think so!

Should've been SPOT his mistakes - obviously I'm not one of the most accomplished typists in the world!!
Even though Phil Collins, Neil Peart, John Bonham and Keith Moon are/were all technically better than Roger, they wouldn't really fit in with a Queen atmosphere...you know what I mean? And he was a better songwriter than any of these drummers.
can u stop calling me crappy names becuase obviously you havent read my posts which clearly state roger is one of the best in the world and deserves more recognition...so re read my post and then fucking reply!
Well yeah...he does...but according to drummers yeah...Tommy Lee came in 4 of best drummers of all time and Roger came in 64...so thats not right...but I don't know about this situation
