I stopped doing it when I saw Kurt Cobain on there. Bullshit.
Meh, decided to do it again. Out of sheer boredom. I had a few guesses, most educated, but some random...so 39.
I apparently missed:
Mick Ronson
Robin Trower
Snowy White
Scott Gorham
Paul Kossof
Steve Hackett
Andy Powell (Who the hell is this?)
Nils Lofgren
Muddy Waters (Stupid, on my part.)
Mick Box (And who the hell is this?)
Vinnie Moore

That means you got either Mick Box, Andy Powell, or both. Who the fuck are they and why do you know them?
Mick Box was in Uriah Heep (probably still is), and I have heard of him, just didn't recognise him. The same is true of most of the ones I missed (I'm willing to admit that I spent minutes retyping Nuno Bettancourt in, convinced that he was on ther).
Also, where's Joe Walsh?
To give them credit, they didn't say the top 50, or the 50 greatest guitarists. They just said 50 guitarists that were icons.
I take great exception to labelling Kurt Cobain a guitar anything, however.

Yes, I'm bitter....and not only who is Andy Powell, but how do we recognise him by his flying V?
Andy Powell is one half of the guitar duo from Wishbone Ash (Blowin Free anyone?) and has always played a V. Maybe Nigel Tufnell is a more famous V player though!
If anyone wants to check out the Ash, try Argus.
