What are everyone's thoughts on the single new song from Q+PR? A preview of coming attractions, perhaps?
It's a good mixture of blues and rock in my opinion with good drums and guitar from Roger and Brian and strong vocals by Paul. If this is a taster for things to come, I'll be getting very excited.
Also, is it just me or do the closing bars sound very similar to the opening riff of Bachman-Turner Overdrive's song Four Wheel Drive?
TL does have more of the BadCo/Free feel, I guess the chorus vocals lack the Queen 'choir' -- though I like the song enough I would enjoy it on an album. imho the best thing Q+PR did so far was the cover of "Wishing Well," really enjoy Brian's guitar solos on that, also I dig "Say It's Not True" for Roger's vocals
The Firm recorded some interesting material, maybe QPR will go a bit in that direction too.
It started out so-so... but towards the end really started to pick up some steam... I think that's where they shined was on the end of it... if this is what the new stuff sounds like, that's alright... but I am hoping for a few "epics" thrown in like Brian said.. .. overall... it's a pretty good song... again a little too Bad Company at the beginning... but.. yeah.. I'll buy the album... ... I hope Take Love and Say It's Not True both appear...
