I mean the albums, not the bands. Well I mean the bands too... Which is the better album? Which is the better band? |
sparrow 21754 28.02.2007 11:22 |
i love them both, but ive loved queen longer. its a tough choice. funny you ask im wearing a zeppelin t-shirt right now! |
Saif 28.02.2007 11:31 |
Which is the better debut album then? =P |
sparrow 21754 28.02.2007 11:57 |
hehe well i do love queens debut album, its actually that and ANATO are my favorites, depending on the day. but i do love zeppelin's early work altogether, but depends on the day, yet again. i have yet to collect all their albums. i dont feel like a real zeppelin fan >.< but i do love them. i just have 'houses of the holy' and 'early and latter years'. so ill start my collection soon. i apologize :-p i cant really answer the question. :( |

I'm not too fond of Led Zeppelin's first albums even though a lot of people consider them their best. I found that I, II, and III were too blues oriented. They're good indeed, but I find them quite overated. I think Led Zep reached their true potential from Zoso until Physical Graffitti. |

Man.... ask me which leg to cut off why don't you??! |

What Zebonka said. Although, to be honest, I consider both albums to be on the weaker end of both bands' catalogues. They both had really good songs, but they both had songs I really couldn't care less for. |

Led Zeppelin! |

Damn so many people HATE Led Zeppelin. =( IMO, deciding between Queen and LZ is like choosing between two identical twins. They're very different but still so similar and equally lovable. But as for debut albums, I personally think Queen I has far more to offer musically than Led Zeppelin I and is better... |
Oszmercury 01.03.2007 00:50 |
Well Queen I sounds very zeppelinesque, only that has May's guitar, freddie's singing is very Plantish. They're different kind of bands, but for albums, i go with the zepp |

Queen I is in fact influenced by Led Zeppelin, but I think such early unique Queen compositions like 'My Fairy King' cannot be compared to any other band or musician. In terms of conceptual albums I'd say Led Zeppelin II is slightly better than Queen's ANATO. But as a band, I like Queen more, because they have more variety in their music. |
Saif 01.03.2007 07:55 |
There wouldn't be any Queen without LZ. I'd say Led Zeppelin II is better than Queen II but A Night At The Opera? They're too different IMO to compare, LZ was never art/progressive rock so they never struggled for excellence. |
Mr.Jingles 01.03.2007 09:05 |
Physical Graffitti is the only Led Zeppelin album that is arguably as good as Queen II. That's just my opinion. |
Matias Merçeauroix 01.03.2007 12:17 |
I can't believe what I'm reading it's too much I think I'm gonna faint ... led zep pfffffft ¬¬' |

<b><font color=B22222>daria wrote:Yeah, DSOTM is a good example of album-oriented rock. Non of the tracks were MAJOR hit singles but the album is considered a classic and as far as I know, it's the best-selling classic rock album of the Nielsen Soundscan era with over 8 million copies shipped since 1991. I wouldn't say I like all of it though, hearing some tracks makes me drowsy but I love "Brain Damage" and the song after it...forgot the name. "Eclipse" or something like that? My favourite Pink Floyd album is Wish You Were Here though, all the tracks are good except maybe "Have A Cigar".Saif wrote: There wouldn't be any Queen without LZ. Some primitive rock n roll songs are better than Queen II? If so, we're really fucked up. Come on!! Black Dog one of the best LZ songs??? it's a shitty song, The Battle Of Evermore is 98461298736498127629384 times better!!! |
Saif 02.03.2007 01:40 |
Well I guess it's because I prefer their Funk-Rock songs...but "Battle of Evermore" is awesome too... |

Queen's better, but Zeppelin's a VERY close 2nd. As for the debut albums, I've always considered Queen to be a very weak start for them, whereas Led Zeppelin is very good with a great representation of their overall style. |
