I shall not watch because I have a play to write out, a Character to build and then some plan for sweet talking the teacher into giving me a passing mark
Helen did win! I loved The Queen, go her :)
I also saw her in Elizabeth I, in which she was exellent too. Hugh Grant's niche is rom-coms , Adam Sandlers niche is comedies and now it seems Helen Mirren has found her niche: Queens called Elizabeth

Yay, another Scorsese fan. It's been a VERY long time coming and yeah, maybe it should have been for Taxi Driver, Raging Bull or Goodfellas instead but finally the little guy got the statue to go along with his title of Greatest Living Director. Congratulations to Marty :)
Are Scorsese and DeNiro no longer friends?
I find it strange that DeNiro no longer appears on movies with Scorsese, and DeNiro wasn't there last night for support.

Total broadcast time: 3 hours, 51 mins.
They really outdid themselves this year :-P I'm just now watching. My commercial-free edit still runs 3:15:44 but so far I'm reasonably entertained.
No it's not. I know everything on vindication and it's not THAT nice.

I was so happy that Little Miss Sunshine (the grandfather) won Best Supporting Actor! :D I love that movie! And Abagail Bresslyn (sp?) was so cute. I think that was a great year for the Oscars.

Yeah right. It should've gone to one of the other actresses who are far more talented than the rubbish Hudson. Who knows what the academy were thinking with that one. Some amazing actresses and it went to JH?
Watched my recorded oscars last night around the same time it would've been on, i.e. early early morning hours!! Great stuff. Shame there wasn't a nice intro like they've done before, i.e. molding together clips with inserts of the host. Classic fun!
Adam.
I think I might agree Adam. Though I can't really judge her performance as an 'actress', not having seen the film, I know that if they're judging her for being able to sing well in a musical film, that's not really fair.
Too many female singers who can't act get acting roles they don't deserve. Like Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston years ago.. though Janet's singing isn't anything special either :-P
And yes, the intro was lame this year :-P
