(Never let it be said that I do not attempt to bring meaningful topics here.)
As before with Kill 'Em All, The White Album & All Things Must Pass, to those of you own "Low", what do you think of it?
Divided into two halves, the first contains short songs with layered vocals and droning synthesizers. The second half comprises of (mostly) longer instrumental tracks; the only vocals on Subterraneans and Warszawa - the last song being co-written by Bowie and Brian Eno (this album being the start of the Berlin trilogy, a series of collaborations between the two).
Personally I think this is a superb record. It spans many genres (my favourites from it being Speed Of Life, Breaking Glass, Always Crashing The Same Car & Be My Wife), and is my favourite Bowie album (so far).
I like Sound and Vision from this album but I'm not too fond of it...my favourite Bowie album is probably Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars or The Man Who Sold The World...
cant believe you omitted Sound and Vision from your list.its the best track on the album by a mile.a great pop song and early disco bass that just makes you want to dance along to it.
when my band cut our first demo tape the engineer had a gripe with us over one of our songs having a minute long intro, saying no hit single had a minute intro so i played him Sound and Vision and he was shot down, mumbled under his breath about me being a smart arse and hummed the song to himself for the rest of our session.
it remains my all time favourite song{including anything by Queen]
definately one of his more creative albums.perhaps he should go back on the columbian marching powder.

I love it! Probably my favorite David Bowie album. I love Breaking Glass, Sound And Vision and Be My Wife alot!
Great album :D
I love the instrumental tracks, especially A New Career in a New Town, Warszawa and Subterraneans. Breaking Glass and Sound and Vision are both brilliant songs too.
One of David's best albums, yes. Then again I think that about most of his albums.
Diamond Dogs is my all time favourite though ;)
