BBC Digital Radio 6 broadcast the 1977 session on February 14th. Trouble is, it was broadcast in the early hours of the morning. Did anyone manage to get a recording of it? I've already got a fairly good quality recording from a re-broadcast in the 1980s, but the digital broadcast represents a significant leap in sound quality. Please let me know if you can help.
Blimey.
Two surprises - one they broadcast it suddenly,and two they're not repeating it ad nauseum. Every programme is repeated these days, are you sure this one won't be on again?
Well, you can hear a recording of the show up to 7 days following its broadcast, but only in 32kbps quality, which is about as bad as an old transistor radio. I understood that the BBC had wiped their tapes of this session, so the fact that it was broadcast again disproves this. Perhaps we can send emails to the BBC and ask them to repeat it, just in case they're tempted to press DELETE this time. Some advance advertising would be good too.
Guys,
I e-mailed Chris Carr and asked if he would be airing this again. He kindly responded as follows;

"Hi Keith
Thanks for your e-mail and thank you for listening to the show we hope you enjoy it. As you can understand we get hundreds of requests for BBC Sessions and there is quite a large list, I have checked our schedule for the next few weeks, and have slotted the Queen session from 28/10/1977 in on 24th of May. Hope this is ok for you sorry we couldn't find and earlier slot for you.
Thanks once again for you e-mail and request.
