Just wondering... i was watching the Knebworth Documentary few minutes back, and in 04:10 Freddie starts talking how "it will come time when he will not be able to run on the stage..." Do you think He's trying to tell us something is going to happen with him?or its just something else? I'd like to hear other's opinions on this subject Also, when did Freddie decided he wont tour again? I dont think it was 1986 when he decided to stop touring? what do you think? |

She can, but she needs a wheelchair(her wheelchair has wings). But you're wrong, wrong, WRONG! What Freddie was really trying to say is: "Buy our records and give us all your *Bob Geldof accent* fookin' muney!". |

"Do you think He's trying to tell us something is going to happen with him?" Yes. "It will come time when I will not be able to run on the stage...". It was stated more than clearly. |

If you watch the interviews on the "Live at Wembly '86" DVD, Brian May said that it was the magic tour 'somewhere is Spain', that Freddie had said 'You know I'm not going to be doing this forever.' So possibly he did know at the time what he might be dealing with. And also listen to the lyrics of The Show Must Go On, "my makeup may be flaking, but my smile stays on" He was determined to go strong to the end. |

^^ Nah he was just getting old because he was diagonised in '87 |
claudiox 20.02.2007 18:57 |
Yes, in 1986 Freddie didn't know about is illness, and ina famous 1985 interview he said the same thing concerning the unability to walk on stage for a long time because he would be ridicolous. |

Nah, he stopped trying to hint to the world that he had AIDS after "Bohemian Rhapsody". |
luthorn 20.02.2007 22:59 |
Imagine Freddie pulling an oxygen tank around the stage and twitching like the Jagger dude does. Blah. So, he was smart to finish himself off in the right time and the legend lives on. In the end "Fuck it. I'll do everything with everybody" shows he had some balls. |

I ask because I always thought the message contained within "Bohemian Rhapsody" is the story of Freddie getting AIDS. I know it seems impossible, doesn't it? Especially with no one even knowing about AIDS in 1975 when the song came out. I wonder if the whole thing came to Freddie in a dream or something? I just can't help but correlate the lyrics of that song with his later experience with AIDS. |

I know all of this. Yes, he wasn't diagnosed til 1987 but, possibly he did know that there would be something he would be dealing with. Yes, he was 40 in '86 but still in great health until he knew he had full-blown AIDS. |

Although I like to make "prophet of his own doom" jokes (see also, "Great King Rat") - I don't think it has anything to do with AIDS. I waver between "It's just a bunch of nonsense" and "starting a new phase in life / worried about making the right choice / justification / free pastries" sort of thing. |

As Freddie was so private I don't think he would be giving hints as it were on stage in front of millions of people. You can change and look at things so differently now in retrospect. |
