Hi everyone
I am new here but have a reason te be here.
I have a picture disc of Queen (Greatest Hits
Balkanton PDBTA 11253/54, Bulgarian LP, picture disc, 1981). I know there are many fake ones, but also original ones. How do I know if I have a fake one, or not. I want to sell it, but I do not know where to offer it and what it's worth.
Can anyone help me out and give me some information?
Thanks everyone.
Richard
Hello Richarde
On the official picture disc you can see the "shall" from marshall on the speaker on the left, you also can see brian's wrist on the right and you can see freddie's knee at the bottom left.
On a bootleg Picture disc you can't see them.
Thanks for the advise. I checked and mine's not a fake one. I also see there's a number scratched into the grooves in the middle. Now I just have to look if someone's interested to buy it. I want to sell it for a reasonable price.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what exactly are these Picture Discs? Regular albums/singles on vinyl with a pic printed on them? Or just a pic printed on a vinyl with no audio? Or maybe some kind of disc that does something special...?

There is another bootleg pressing of this very picture disc that actually DOES show the full Marshall logo, Freddie's knee and Brian's wrist.
On first sight this bootleg is 100% identical to the original pressing. The only way to still recognise a fake is to see if the matrix number is handwritten (bootleg) or printed (original).
Thanks Jeroen,
The matrix number is printed in the record, and is clear to see what number.
I now now defenitely that's it's an original. Now find someone who wants to buy it.

Hi people,
I am new to the forum and responding to an old thread, but here's the question: I am considering buying Queen's Greatest Hits Picture Disc but I'm not absolutely sure the one I've been offered is the real deal. Having read the last responses to this thread it seems this is the so-called 2nd pressing: it has the larger picture on it but the matrix numbers are handwritten rather than printed... Can someone help me out and confirm which pressing this is? Many thanks in advance, all best,
Sander
