Is there any way for me to collect Queen shows in videoformate?
Only got two so far, and they are of poor quality.
In other words, how can I start collecting?
Any help at all would be seriously appreciated.
What "videoformat" were you looking for?
Forgive me for pleading the obvious, but there are several Queen shows (both Queen and Q&PR) available in DVD format among others that have been made available recently, both in torrent and file share (mediafire, rapidshare, etc) formats - look through the last few pages of topics and you should find plenty to get you started.
Please look through everything that has been shared here recently, and if you still have a question please ask. Good luck! :)
not necessarily - it depends on the format. If you download a DVD in DVD format there is no loss of quality - the fact you are downloading it does not change the quality. If however someone converts it into AVI or something else and then you download it, there will be a loss of quality compared to the original DVD version.
Hope this is clear, and also hope this is technically correct! I am not a genius in such matters.
Okay...
it's very clear, thank you for your help...
But could you answer som other questions of mine?
I was wondering what FLAC is?
If I download a show from QZ will there be glitches between tracks?
(sorry for being a noob...)

FLAC is a lossless way of compressing files (unlike mp3 which is a lossy way of compressing files). If you go into the "stickies" at the beginning of this forum you can get the link on how to convert FLAC to wav and then burn onto a CD.

That depends on how you burn your CD. On the software I use (mainly but not exclusively Nero) they ask if you want a two-second pause between tracks. It's up to you...

If you download concerts, my advice is to disable the 2 second gap between songs. I think that in Nero you have this option as a default.
You want to hear the concert as it was, no gaps at all! So, don´t worry about that, just download the FLACS and burn it. If you have the latest version of Nero, it has the Flac plug-in in it, but search the internet (or ask here) for the plug-in you want.
As Ginger said, FLAC is a compression without loosing quallity (think of RAR files).
MP3 is a compression methode, but loosing quality (information - i.e. frequencies) forever. Just compare the lenght of the files and that will guive you an idea of the lost information. For CD burning purposes, stay with FLAC. You can then convert it to mp3.
Take care
