I hope some of you experts can help me:
How many DVD versions of this concert are around?
I've got an 75min."special Edition" build of 3 sources, i think this is the most common version according to the Homepages of some collectors.
On "Queenconcerts.com" i read about an 80min. version (stolen Master Copy). I also heard there's a 50min. version out there...
Quality is most important for me, so I hope someone could bring some light on this! This 75min. version is great, but the Audio/Video quality is a bit disapointing.
Greetings, Cygnus
The best quality version so far is a fan convention version that came out a few years ago. It's about 70 minutes long.
Digital Queen Archives released a version about a year ago that was a couple generation worse, but it had a bit of Jailhouse Rock, and for the first time, the complete Now I'm Here.
And then there's the German TV special from 1980. DQA tagged this onto their version as an extra, and it's pretty good quality. But I'm sure there should be a better copy in the hands of someone who simply recorded it from TV back then.
The best we can hope for is for someone to make a compilation of the best versions. Maybe it will be me, one of these days... but I've got a couple other projects I need to finish first, like the Earls Court DVD.

Woohoo!! Do you ever sleep Bob???
In my version, there are some bits from German T.V. (there's the "ZDF" Logo sometimes, it's a German T.V. Station..)
Thanks for the info, it seems collection Queen Boots is an endless task for finding the perfect quality......

Definitely! I haven't started the Earls Court project yet... :P
I still need a good transfer of the audio from the Miracle Express VHS version. The version Frank shared is very appreciated, but the transfer was done at a high volume, and so it's distorted in many places.
