Why did they compromise so much on the look of the guitar. I have the replica one and it's like there's way too much at the back of the guitar, of course where the tremo system should have been.
They could have at least put something there - it ruins the guitar.
As well i decided to scratch off that stupid brian may signature on the head of my guitar. Anyone else feel the same? Christ i dont want to spend a few grand on the guitar...???
I think your problem is you're too cheap.
The Burns guitar is £500 - that's mid range for a guitar. If you wanted an exact copy, you need to buy the Fryer copy...£3500.
Plus, it has to be asked..didn't you look at it before you bought it?
"stupid brian may signature on the head of my guitar"
Yeah, because the first thing I did when I got a Fender was scratch that stupid Leo Fender's name off of it.
(headdesk).
What a dummy. Scratch the name off..?
If you want something more accurate it'll cost at least a couple of grand - a Kz junior for instance at £1800.
Or, you could just get a Bri Sig modified for about 750 euro.
Adam.

Certainly i'm not too cheap. I spend quite a lot of money on music, but 3,500 pounds on a guitar is just beyond me for throwing money away.
I don't mind how it looks really, it does look nice only they could have made it more similar to the original.
The signature is stupid - i'd prefer again if it had the coin like his original. Signature is just goofy, i scratched it off and this way it looks far more professional besides sayin high this is brian mays guitar.
I looked at an old Gibson Les Paul but I wanted the owner to scratch off the Gibson name and Les Paul's name. Who cares if Les Paul designed it for Orville Gibson's company? There old NEway
I only like it because Slash played one. Can I put a Floyd Rose on it?
And who was that Rickenbacker chump anyway? I'm not playing the name game damnit, I went into my local shop and took his name off all 10 of the guitars I saw it on.
Rather than scratch the name-off, why not modify?
It would not be too expensive to create a new bridge scratch plate, and it would be possible to emboss a Brian May sixpence without damaging the signature.
I agree, i think teleman should leave it alone. I mean who'd want to take the name fender off a guitar? I wouldn't, but a goofy brian may signature, ya of course i would.
Fender rocks!
All is not lost. You are nearly there, on your way to being Brian May.
Buy these items next:
1. Brian May Signature Digitech Pedal.
Now your foot can tap a pedal that's the
same color, roughly, as Brian's Guitar.
2. Vox Brian May Deacy practice amp
With a battery pack and a wireless system
you'll be totally mobile on not relying on
sound engineers. They know nothing anyway.
3. Vox 9' Gold plated guitar cable
It's just not that Vox sound unless you
overpay for a "gold" cable.
4. A Mop & Black Dye
You figure that one out.
5. Sit back and insult anybody that critiques your playing or your songwriting skills.
Bang! You are now Brian May.
Those old Vox AC30s are overrated as well!
"I mean who'd want to take the name fender off a guitar? I wouldn't, but a goofy brian may signature, ya of course i would."
I'm going insane here.... I'm really not seeing the distinction between Leo Fender's name and Brian May's.

Leo designed guitars but didn't play.
Brian played guitar in Queen and designed "a goofy Brian May signature" guitar.

Leo was a pioneer and an idiot at the same time.
PIONEER: Precision Bass, Stratocaster, Telecaster, and the Fender Amp. All developed within 5 years!!!
IDIOT: Bought Harold Rhodes piano company and decided only to manufacture the "Piano Bass" during his tenure.
PIONEER: Somehow manages to sell Rhodes to CBS for 13 Million Dollars!!!!
"Leo designed guitars but didn't play.

Oh. Well that makes perfect sense!!
:P
I don't really see the fuss.... I certainly didn't get the Burns so I could have an authentic replica of someone else's guitar. I got it because I found it very playable and enjoyed dicking around with pickup combinations. It could've had 'Squeeky the Fart Box' written on the headstock and I'd still have bought it.
The idea of getting rid of Brian's signature is pretty pointless. Most people who know guitars will recognise that it's a Red Special (this sounds stupid, but seriously... it happens).
If you're trying to distance your onstage persona from that of Brian, then maybe you ought to just take the electrics out of the instrument and put them into a Danelectro. Or something. Ha-ha.

I forgot to add that my post was tongue in cheek. LOL
