Time to upgrade again. Due to the genorosity of fellow Queenzoners (you know who you are), I give you the Westwood 1 One radio show source. This is the full spectrum of 20-20,000 mhz. FM radio cuts off at 16,000. Compare Now I'm Here to previous so called master versions. You can especially hear the difference in the guitar part before Fred sings "I'm just a new man". The "Sanity Clause" version is a completely different mix, and I still prefer it to the one Richy is sharing. But for this particular mix, Richy's pre-fm is definitely the best. But anyone who's really serious about this should have both this and the Sanity Clause version, since they're very different. |

These sound great, thank you for posting them. One question, is there a version somewhere out there where any references to Christmas are not removed. When Fred toasts the audience just before White Queen he said 'Queen would like to drink a special Christmas toast to everybody here' There is a noticeable jump in the track where the word Christmas would have been. I know I have heard the full version somewhere, but not sure whether it was just at a convention. EDIT: Just noticed that Brighton Rock is somewhat shorter than it should be too. |

Several versions of the X-Mas concert are showing up. I've downloaded the Westwood one and it sounds great. I also downloaded the "Night up the Chimney"-torrent. Sounds less but seems to be complete. I myself have a bootleg cd called Queen X-MAS 1975 (1989 Stone Records - Live Dates volume 17). Tracklisting differs (order of the songs) 1. Now I'm Here 2. Ogre Battle (sleeve says: Orge Battle) 3. Bohemian Rhapsody 4. Killer Queen 5. March of the Black Queen 6. Brighton Rock/Son and Daughter 7. Keep Yourself Alive 8. Liar 9. In the Lap of the Gods 10. Seven Seas of Rhye 11. See What a fool I've been 12. God save the Queen Brighton Rock is some minutes longer than the Westwood version. (including Son and Daughter). To make it more confusing, I've uploaded that track onto my site. See download/mp3 I'm also trying to download the video torrent (Christmas) but no complete seeder at the moment. I do have part of this show somewhere on VHS tape. Also a double VCD, but my computer, CD-I-player and DVD recorder refuse to play it. btw thanks for making this Westwood version available. |
